The Pittsburgh STEELERS are the #1 Ranked Team in the AFC and the hottest but just like all the other teams at this point in the season there are INJURIES abound.

As the STEEL Curtain faces their RIVAL and the best RIVALRY in FOOTBALL SUNDAY....the Key Injuries are at the LINEBACKER Position. The 3-4 ZONE BLITZ is all about the LINEBACKER Play and like COACH TOMLIN always says....."WE DON'T HAVE ANY EXCUSES and WE EXPECT the NEXT MAN to STEP UP and PLAY and DO WHAT HE IS SUPPOSE TO DO".

With the PROSPECT of not having Outside Linebackers Lamaar WOODLEY (the AFC Defensive Player of the MONTH of OCTOBER) and James HARRISON out......Lawrence TIMMONS aka LAWdawg has been playing 92 Spot the last 3 Games and has played well. Inside Linebacker James POTSIE FARRIOR has a CALF Injury and it looks like he won't go either. So this puts LAWdawg TIMMONS as the only REGULAR to start on SUNDAY at LINEBACKER.

STEELERS NATION before you go get a PINT or drop some MAALOX....enter STEELERS Player Personnel Director Kevin COLBERT. This is why the STEELERS are the Blueprint when it comes to drafting. They are always ready to fill in KEY SPOTS with QUALITY Depth from Low Draft PICKS.

Now with the aforementioned LINEBACKERS most likely out here are the STEELERS LINEBACKERS that will have to STEP UP and Contribute BIG:

ILB Larry FOOTE #50 MAIZE and BLUE FAME: A quality PLAYER who used to start until the development of LAWdawg TIMMONS. The LEADER on Special Teams as well....FOOTE knows the SYSTEM inside and out and will make the Proper CALLS for the YOUNG GUYS to put them in Positions to Succeed on SUNDAY.

ILB Stevenson SYLVESTER #55 2nd Year from the U of U: An absolute TACKLING machine UTAH Salt Lake. He is developing into a really nice ILB and eventually will make the CALLS on D and take POTSIE FARRIOR'S Position. Just think he made the LAST CUT last year as the STEELEERS were going to put him on the PRACTICE Squad if he cleared WAIVERS...WOW...look for hiom SUNDAY to make a name for himself he is definately NEXT in LINE in STEELERS LINEBACKER LORE.

OLB Chris CARTER #54 ROOKIE from FRESNO STATE Bulldogs: From an excellent MID-MAJOR Program in the WAC.....recieved some playing time last week and this week should get the NOD Opposite of LAWDAWG in WOOD's Spot at Strongside OLB. Built in the MOLD of a Typical STEEELER OLB at about 6-2....250 EL BEES....to even get on the STEELERS DEPTH CHART as a ROOKIE is saying something as the STEEL CURTAIN usually doesn't play ROOKIES because the SCHEME is so Difficult to learn. Watch #54 o SUNDAY he will get a TASTE of MICHEAL OHER of the RAVENS.

ILB Mortty IVY #48 2nd Year from MORGANTOWN Fame....and local kid from MONROEVILLE P A: After getting picked up by the CAROLINA PANTHERS and being undrafted in 2009....this GUY can really lay the WOOD. He is on the DEPTH CHART behind SYLVESTER at the ILB Spot opposite of FOOTE. Look for him to be activated if the BIG 3 can't go.....which looks the case.

OLB Jason WORILDS #97 2nd YEAR BEAMER BALL Blacksburg V A FAME: A long shot to play has been out for at least 4 WEEKS and if he goes he will be on a SNAP COUNT. A HUGE UPSIDE but can't stay out of the TRAINING ROOM. Someone better tell him if he keeps spending time in their that PHONE CALL from his AGENT will be expected.

The STEELERS Linebacker DEPTH CHART for SUNDAY

OLB Lawrence TIMMONS
ILB Stevenson SYLVESTER ******ILB Mortty IVY 2nd on Depth Chart
ILB Larry FOOTE
OLB Chris CARTER

Just like WE SEE it the RAVENS see it and look for them to try to PUT SOME PRESSURE on the Young Linebackers with that PRBLEM of a Running Back in Ray RICE. But you know the DRILL in STEEL TOWN.....DEPTH CHART....and the NEXT in LINE.....Let's See what WE GOT behind the WOOD, POTSIE , and 92.

It will be a GAME within a A GAME...and FLACCO still has to make the PLAYS and of late he has been playing CANDY LAND when the GAMES have been MONOPOLY.
