The Steelers come off of s BYE WEEK BAck 2 Business as they travel to KANSAS CITY and ARROWHEAD to play the BANGED UP CHIEFS.The STEELERS come in the CONTEST at 7-3 and at the TOP of the AFC as the CHIEFS come in at 4-6 having lost 3 in a row after winning 3 in a row.

Just when you thought the STEELERS were banged up everywhere look at this LAUNDRY LIST for the CHIEFS:

QB Matt CASSELL INJURED RESERVE week 11
RB Jamaal CHARLES INJURED RESERVE week 4
SAFETY Eric BERRY INJURED RESERVED week 2

as well as a host of other KEY COGS in Coach Todd HALEY's CHIEFS.

The STEELERS have a few things on their TO-DO-LIST getting into WINNING TIME like:

1. Trying to get a TOP 2 SEED in the AFC and a 1st Week BYE in the PLAYOFFS
2. Winning the AFC NORTH which is now virtually impossible now that the RAVENS have beaten the STEELERS TWICE and the BENGALS ONCE.
3. Being 7-3 the STEELERS would love to CLOSEout 13-3 or at least 12-4 which would still get them a WILD CARD GAME at HOME which isn't all bad.
4. With remaining games @the STICK @the DAWG lb. @ARROWHEAD vs RAMS vs BENGALS vs BROWNS he STEELERS are a sure bet to at least go 11-5 at worst.

TALE of the TAPE for SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

ARROWHEAD Kansas City MO
820PM ET

OFFENSE

STEELERS 22 PTS/g (19th) 383 YDS/g (9th) 273 PASS YDS/g (6th) 110 RUSH YDS/g (17th)

CHIEFS 14 PTS/g (29th) 309 YDS/g (25th) 185 PASS YDS/g (27th) 125 RUSH YDS/g (9th)

DEFENSE

STEELERS 17.9 Pts/g (4th) 280 YDS/g (2nd) 183 PASS YDS/g (3rd) 96.9 RUSH YDS/g (6th)

CHIEFS 25.2 Pts/g (25th) 366 YDS/g (23rd) 230 PASS YDS/g (13th) 136 RUSH YDS/g (28th)

As you see by the TALE of the TAPE the CHIEFS have their work cut out and they are starting back-up QB Tyler PALKO. The Offense even under starting QB Matt CASSELL had trouble making BIG PLAYS downfield. Now they have their 2nd String QB and no Jamaal CHARLES at RB the task is even tougher.

The STEELERS Offensively know they have to get that RUN GAME somewhat believable for their PLAYOFF RUN to make that NEW PASSING ATTACK even more POTENT. Look for the STEELERS to try to get MENDENHALL into the FRAY fast then get WALLACE, BROWN, WARD, and MILLER involved heavily into the PASSING GAME.

The STEELERS D still is one of the BEST and this year's D has some PASS COVERAGE to go with a TOP 6 RUSHING D. The CHIEFS will have to stay out of of 3rd and LONG to avoid a complete meltdown in this one offensively.

The CHIEFS D on the OTHER HAND has had trouble stopping the RUN and if they can't STOP the STEELERS from running it will be a long night for the CHIEFS. Look for CHIEFS Pro-Bowl Caliber CORNER Brandon FLOWERS via BEAMER BALL BLACKSBURG to mark the SPEEDY WALLACE and JAVIER ARENAS to get his mitts on Antonio BROWN or HINES WARD.

the SKINNY: the STEELERS are on a another MISSION to get back to WINNING TIME and hopefully to the CIRCLE CITY PARTY in FEBRUARY at the BIG PIT STOP....LUCAS OIL Stadium and the CHIEFS are next on the SCHEDULE and in the way. Look for the STEELERS to end this one EARLY so that they can rest some banged up starters.
