Let's get one thing straight......the NBA Owners aren't in dyer need of CASH and I beg to see the BOOKS if it's true that 22 of 30 NBA teams are in the RED. You really think the NBA could function accordingly if that many TEAMS are losing Revenue.......NO.

Baseball on the other hand just needs to get everyone on even ground where the SMALL MARKET TEAMS can afford the High-Paid SUPERSTARS instead of the rich getting richer every year. Baseball Fans have to be tired of the same OLD TEAMS always getting into POSTSEASON......I know thew BLUEDUDE is.

But all these PROBLEMS these leagues are having is because of one thing the National Football League implemented years ago.........they said LET'S get a SYSTEM where all TEAMS can go get a STAR in Free Agency and the TEAMS also can afford to keep their OWN Picks as they flourish into SUPERSTARS. This System is called.........Curtains Please......REVENUE SHARING.

The NFL is not the most POPULAR LEAGUE in NORTH AMERICA by accident it took some Give or TAKE on both sides also OWNERS willing to come together to make a SYSTEM work for everyone.

Just think if the Kansas CITY ROYALS had the cash to go after Left-Handed Pitcher Cliff LEE..........or if the Fighting FIsh in South Florida could go get the BREW CREW'S 1B All-STAR Prince Fielder next season. The MARLINS open a New STADIUM in 2012 on April 4 and play the REDBIRDS and FIELDER resides in Orlando. Yeah the New Stadium creates New REVENUE for the FISH but without NEW DIGGS...they have no shot.

Look at the majority of the TOP TEAMS in MLB.......BOMBERS, CARMINES, PHILS, HALOS......they stay on TOP because ONE they have owners who want to WIN at a HIGH LEVEL and that's excellent especially for their fan base, but they also are all BIG MARKET TEAMS that can freely spend on FREE AGENTS or the NECESSITIES to stay on top......if there was REVENUE SHARING some of their BALLPLAYERS would be playing Elsewhere.....TRUST ME.

The NBA is Wrestling with all these Contractual Issues when a lot of this would be easier to deal with if TEAMS didn't have the CASH to go over the CAP and PAY the LUXURY TAX to get a couple of STARS.

The NBA has a SALARY CAP but it is FLAWED in some places like BASEBALL..........GUARANTEED CONTRACTS are not the problem as much as the LENGTH of those CONTRACTS which is an even bigger issue. REVENUE SHARING in both of these SPORTS would take a HUGE BLOW off of these SPORTS.

The NFL'S Model of REVENUE SHARING has been in place so long now you have Owners like Jerry JONES (with JERRY'S PLACE NEW TEXAS STADIUM) and Daniel SNYDER creating New revenue STREAMS that are not part of the REVENUE SHARING.

But WHAT IF in the NFL...........

The PACKERS couldn't have afforded to PAY QB Brett FAVRE........

The COLTS couldn't pay QB Peyton MANNING his up and coming ASTRONOMICAL NUMBERED Contract....OH PEYTON is getting DUFFEL BAGS and a few BRINKS TRUCKS...

The CHIEFS couldn't afford to pay QB MAtt CASSELL all that cash if no REVENUE SHARING....RIGHT

The STEELERS who hardly ever get into HUGE CASH Contracts for their players.....paid BIG BEN $126 Million a couple of years ago.....STEEL CITY isn't a huge MARKET

SIMPLY PUT......for BASEBALL and the NBA to get it right........it's right in front of them.....so GRAB THAT DAMN ELEPHANT and give it PEANUTS and WATER......and welcome DUMBO into your sport.
