We have seen this picture Before.......George STEINBRENNER handing his Son, Hal STEINBRENNER, was handed the Controls a Few years back to the Winningest Professional SPORTS Franchise in History...the BRONX BOMBERS.

Mike BROWN of the Cincinnati BENGALS has followed in the Footsteps of his late FATHER Paul BROWN....and has yet to live up to the Billing.

Carolina PANTHERS Owner Jerry RICHARDSON in 2009 unexpectedly told his two sons , MARK and JON, to hit the door and they were way up the PANTHERS Hierarchy.

As you see sometimes the GRASS in not GREENER on the OTHER SIDE. Professional Sports is a TRICKY BUSINESS and there are 2 Questions always.........Is the OWNER really trying to WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP and Compete year in and year out?......Or....Is the OWNER using this as a HOBBY for TAX Shelters and other more lucrative Business Ventures?

Now the 2nd Winningest NBA Franchise as far as CHAMPIONSHIPS is now in the HANDS of Dr. Jerry BUSS' Son, Jim BUSS, and to be Fair he is on the HOT SEAT for a FEW REASONS right away.

1. DID Jim BUSS sign off on New Head Coach Mike BROWNS' Hiring. Reportedly General Manager Mitch KUPCHEK wanted no real change on the FLOOR and wanted to keep then Lakers Assistant Coach Brian SHAW aka B SHAW. Which makes lot of sense since you have a Aging CORE in KOBE, GASOL, ODOM, FISHER, and ARTEST........so Veterans most likely don't want a CHANGE which means more Practice Time and so forth getting used to a new system.

2. The LAKERS are a Top Flight NBA TEAM with a dash of SUNSET BLVD., the HILLS of HOLLYWOOD, and the MALIBU Beach. So hiring MIKE BROWN he needs to come in with his system, which is pretty good one, and put some FLARE into his SHOW......LAKESHOW 2.0.

3. Jim BUSS must not ruffle too many feathers and hiring Mike BROWN in his mind was the RIGHT THING but when your SUPERSTAR, in this case the BLACK MAMBA....Kobe BRYANT is Lobbying for Brian Shaw, maybe you need to be all EARS instead of showing everyone I can make Key Decisions. Trust LIL BUSS......you will have plenty DECISIONS to make and they are up and coming.

4. Jim needs to Use as many resources as he can .......His FATHER JERRY, his sister Jeanie BUSS, who has been working for the Organization longer than JIM, GM Mitch KUPCHAK, and Part-Owner Magic JOHNSON. This way he can not only take some heat off Himself but his first Big Decision in Hiring Head Coach MIKE BROWN.

Having said all of this only time will tell......YOU MUST HUMBLE Yourself and make the People that are most important to the success of the FRANCHISE feel even more important...and if it's MY WAY or the HIGHWAY.........the ALIENATION of Front Office people will not get it done in LAKER LAND.

Is this a good hiring?......I think so.....if the LAKESHOW can get acclaimated to the New System and the RESULTS are in the Left Column instead of the Right Column.....It SHOULD be a Smooth TRANSITION for all.
