There are three positions in the NBA that get it all the hype POINT GUARD, SHOOTING GUARD, AND SMALL FORWARD. The best position to The BLUEDUDE on the floor is without a doubt the SHOOTING GUARD.

Let me name a few: "THE LOGO" Jerry West "AIR JORDAN" Michael Jordan The ICEMAN George Gervin Clyde "The GLYDE" Drexler Earl "THE PEARL" Monroe A I Allen Iverson Mitch Richmond

Those were some of the greatest of all-time and MJ probably and arguably the best to ever put on a basketball uniform.

This season will be one of the most interesting NBA seasons in a long time for many reasons. One is everyone and their mama wants to see what MIAMI THRICE will do in the BOTTOM. Another is I think there is a changing of the guard as to who is the best SHOOTING GUARD in the business. Lets find out in the BLUEDUDE's Top 8 SNIPERS IN THE ASSOCIATION are:

1. DWAYNE WADE aka FLASH aka D-WADE Miami Heat: Sorry KOBE but due to the sheer age gap between the two and DWADE in his prime and KOBE coming out of his prime the nod goes to FLASH. Simply to tough to guard in the open court and then will kill you with his mid-range game and his ability to attack at the rim. Also a demon on the defensive end and one of the best players in the league at off the ball or weak side help defenders. In every passing lane and like the great ones do WILL NEVER TAKE A NIGHT OFF BECAUSE IT IS HIS DUTY TO YOU YOUR MONEY'S WORTH. Fomer Oak Lawn Richards HS product.

2. KOBE BRYANT aka BLACK MAMBA aka KB8 LA Lakers: Aging like a fine wine. You know what the say the older the wiser. This is where KOBE"S Game is now. Coming up on 16 years in the league, KB8 is simply picking his spots on the floor and the time to do it to still make him the best closer in the business. He reminds me of AIR JORDAN in a sense that the older these guys get they still are a step ahead of 95% of the players they play against. A deadly shooter and a very good on the ball and weak side defender, KOBE is still among the elite players in the league but no longer the best.

3. KEVIN DURANT aka The DURANTULA aka KD Oklahoma City Thunder: Perhaps one of the best basketball players of all-time when he is done. The one year he spent at UT Austin he was simply unstoppable. Built like the cartoon back in the 80's the PLASTIC MAN, this guy is so smooth he should be on an ice rink really. Playing like he is about 6'3", KD skill set for a man that tall and long is astonishing. Unlimited range, excellent ball-handler, can post play his back to the basket , face you up, too big for two guards, and too quick and agile for 3's, he is a nightmare to guard from jumpstreet. Last year lead the league in scoring with just over 30 pts per and is only 21 is more startling then his overall game. He will be a fixture on All-Star and MVP chats well into 2022 trust me on this.

4. BRANDON ROY aka B-ROY 7 aka THE PUGET SOUND GET DOWN Portland TrailBlazers RIP CITY: Just watching him play he is a Mitch Richmond Clone with a more consistent mid-range game. Just like Mitch a good enough ball-handler, post-up player, and shooter to keep every defender they see off balance. He is a perfect player to watch when talking about NBA Stars playing in gears. He won't give you everything at once but enough to get by for that time in the game. A fabulous talent and not that the BLAZERS need to be reminded they were a decision away from getting KEVIN DURANT instead of GREG ODEN. Imagine that in the Northwest them two, 3 MEN , AND A TRUCK and its over.

5. JOE JOHNSON aka J J Atlanta Hawks: The man the Hawks decide to build around. Remember this lineup in the desert NASH, J J, MATRIX, AND STAT could have and should have one at least one in the desert with those 4. Just a bad dream trying to guard J J. He is simply bigger than most 2's and handles like a point, an excellent passer, unlimited range, and learning to be a closer at least that's what his contract says. I think the HAWKS did the right thing in Locking him up to build around him, JOSH, and BIG AL. For him to be effective as he gets older he will probably slide to the SMALL FORWARD on some nights to get the HAWKS quick line-up out there.

6. ANDRE IGUODALA aka the NEW A I aka IGGY: A superior athlete who was an excellent track perfomer back in the day at SPRINGFIELD ILLINOIS' LANPHIER HS where he excelled in basketball as well. A true finisher in every sense of the word on the break. An excellent defender who knows thats where he lays his hat on. Very quick and strong enough to guard 1-3 and on some nights slip down and guard the 4. The glaring weakness in his game comes from his outside shooting. Still can't and won't hit the outside jump shot consistently. Also an excellent passer and rebounder for his size. Just needs to attack the basket more with all that athleticism. SIXERS have an interesting mix with IGGY and the newly drafted stat sheet stuffer EVAN TURNER. New Head Coach Doug Collins has some toys in PHILLY no doubt about it.

7. MANU GINOBLI aka GINOBLEEEEEEEEEE San Antonio Spurs: Thanks SIR CHARLES for the nickname. If he could just stay on the court for 85% of his games he would be knockin on the door for Springfield Mass and I believe it. The man can stroke it from deep , attack the basket like no other at the 2, and a real crafty player who gets to the free throw line a lot and makes teams pay in the penalty. if MANU can stay healthy for the PLAYOFFS the SPURS will make another run a maybe their last with THE BIG FUNDAMENTAL as TIM DUNCAN is on the clock.

8. RAY ALLEN aka SUGAR RAY aka JESUS SHUTTLESWORTH THE C'S: The past 3 years you see what a player can do if he takes care of his body off the floor and eats the right foods. ALLEN has been a fixture on a CELTIC team that at times looks like a mash unit as years are piling up on THE BIG 3. Still the best shooter in the ASSOCIATION. And from my vantage point the BEST NBA SHOOTER I have ever seen. One day RAY will become the all-time leader at 3pt fg's made in the league. For you kids out there and college players who think you can shoot it. Watch this product from DALZELL SC HILLCREST HS by way of STORRS CONN. He has the textbook form of a shooter: body straight up and down, ball about numbers high, elbow in and at that famous 90 degree angle, and the ball on the fingertips. DRAAAAAAWWWS just watch it and you will see JESUS and a perfect jump shot.
