The BCS race is playing itself out as Huge match ups this Saturday will impact teams and conference races all over. The polls haven't changed much in the last couple of weeks except for the surprising loss HOOKEM' HORNS had at home to the Bruins. It just goes to show you everything is also Big in Cali.

The key match-ups this weekend start in Tuscaloosa and end in Iowa City. The BCS ranking come out soon and teams have must wins to position themselves to get one of them big paydays for their respective universities. Lets get to the games:

1. #1 BAMA vs #7 GATORS: We will see in 24 hrs if Coach Urban Meyer's group is ready for the big stage. The gators have looked everything but dominant. The Offense seems to lack that play maker that the Gators always have. The Defense is young and a little above average. Nick Saban's Boys escaped HOGVILLE, thanks to QB Ryan Mallett, with a huge comeback win in a very hostile environment. Everyone in the SEC had this circled for the TIDE to be a tough one and probably a loss. But with that kind of game under their belt, the TIDE will only get better and the GATORS get their first real test Saturday in T-TOWN.
WINNER: ROLL TIDE

2. #21 TEXAS VS #8 OU SOONERS: "Battle of RED River " in Dallas, with UT Austin approximately 197 miles from Dallas and OU Norman about 192 miles from Big D, should be a pretty good one. The luster is kinda gone because of the huge Texas loss last week to UCLA in Austin. The Horns look like they have more problems with their effort than talent. The Bruins took it to them and they got slapped once and never responded. They better be ready to get it Saturday early and often. Sooners gave up a lot of yards on the ground to an average Cincy Bearcats team last week. Offensively they have two dynamite play makers in RB DeMarco Murray and WR Ryan Broyles. This might be the difference in the game as no one as surfaced to be the man for HOOKEM' HORNS. Texas HAS RAN THE TABLE ON boomer sooner THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS BUT NOT THIS YEAR.
WINNER: BOOMER SOONER

3. #9 STANFORD @ #4 OREGON: "The Harvard of the WEST" is showing they can also be the power football team in this region as well. Coach Jim Harbaugh has his boys playing at a high level and a certain Top 5 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft in QB ANDREW LUCK out of the great state of TEXAS. Cards have no RB Toby Gerhart and still run the ball well by RB by committee. The most interesting player in the Game is FB/LB Owen Marecic who starts both ways, and maybe one of the best FB in DIV. 1 A. The Quack Attack is Led by an explosive backfield in RB's LaMichael James and Ramene Alston Jr.. The DUCKS are Averaging almost 60 pts per, which is #1 in Football, and only giving up around 11 pts. per game. You would have to say something has to give in this one. Autzen Stadium has become one of toughest places to play in the country and this will be real tough for Harbaugh and the Cards to get this one on that fast track in Eugene.
WINNER: DUCKS

4.#22 PENN STATE @ #17 HAWKEYES: Coach Ferentz and the Black and Gold know they can't lose any more games especially in conference if they are to have a shot at a BCS game. The Arizona loss put a damper on any National Title hopes but they still have an outside shot as they say," If you lose lose early". Joe Pa brings a talented but young group into Iowa City where this will probably be another learning experience for the Nittany Lions as the Hawkeyes have one in the loss column already. Iowa's Defense ,led by all world DE Adrian Clayborn, should prevail in this one. It will be Hard hitting no doubt.

5. #11 UW MADISON @ #24 EAST LANSING: The badgers are led by their offensive line and the running game. STATE has the Best Defensive player in the land in LB and TOP 5 2011 NFL Draft Pick GREG JONES. Look two things will happen in this one. The game will not be pretty and will be played between the hash marks. Secondly, both Badgers and Spartans have been known to give games away for no apparent reason. State always seems to lose the close ones especially in conference. The Badgers win this one they will be in the drivers seat in the Big Ten to position themselves to take on O STATE and IOWA. GREEN TEAM can make a name for themselves and show the Big Ten that finally we can win a few big ones in a row.
WINNER: BADGERS

Impact Saturday and the drive to the the BCS Rankings will start this Saturday. We will know a lot come midnight Saturday to who is contending and who is pretending. Gators need to show that they still are an elite SEC Team and Mr. Luck needs to show the Pac-10 and the Nation he is every bit as good as Mallett and Locker. Texas needs to get off the canvas and show the Sooners we still are U T. WE WILL SEE AS ONLY TIME WILL TELL SATURDAY.
