It is National Letter of Intent Day soon for the Top High School Boys Basketball Players in the Nation. It looks like in the Early signing period the usual suspects are at the top with 5*****star Recruits signings: DUKE UNC KENTUCKY at the top once again. But today I will cover the Best Incoming Freshman to play this year in College Basketball and some possible one and dones.

Here is the BLUEDUDE'S LIST for Top Incoming Freshman and possible one and dones:

1. HARRISON BARNES SF : UNC will be right back at the top with the smoothest Small Forward to come out of the HS Ranks since Kevin Durant. The Kid can get you playing his back to the basket, off the bounce, good range on his shot, long and athletic, as well as a very good rebounder, and excellent ball-handler for his size and skill set. Immediately the Best Freshman in the game by far and I think maybe the First player chosen in the 2011 NBA Draft. WRITE IT DOWN AND REMEMBER THE BLUEDUDE TOLD YOU SO.

2. KYRIE IRVING PG: The Cameron Crazies will love this kid from the onset. A St. Patrick's NJ HS product from the mold of CP3 of NO and former Duke All-American PG Jason Williams. Can Shoot it, very quick and athletic. Excellent court awareness and High IQ and Will make the Duke Back court of Combo G Nolan Smith from DC Assault AAU FAME and Irvin one of the best in the nation. Good luck ACC in controlling that back court and Mr. Singler, they should be dynamite.

3. JOSH SELBY SG: I can see Allen Field house and them singing ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK when they start closing out opponents because of this very athletic, strong, and aggressive SG out of talent-rich BMORE. The guy is a splash play or youtube moment away from getting you out of your seat. Capable of guarding both guard spots and occasionally playing the point he will be an instant star in Lawrence.

4. JARED SULLINGER PF/C: Simply he and Barnes were the clear cut top 2 players in this class and he will be a force in the Big Ten for the few years that he plays there. A solid rebounder and Man-child around the basket. Very good shooter with range of about 15-18 feet. Plays his back to the basket well and uses his body to create space to get his shots off. Reminds the BLUEDUDE of former Duke Standout and Peekskill NY native Elton Brand minus Brand's wingspan. Thad's has got it rolling in Columbus.

5. BRANDON KNIGHT COMBO G: A slick COMBO guard with GOOD RANGE. Right now from what i have seen he is more of a scoring guard then a lead guard. Very high Basketball IQ , but streaky shooter, with the potential to be a dynamic PG on the next level. Reminds me of former UK standout and current C's PG Rajon Rondo WITH length and minus the defensive intensity . But he will mix well with his classmates in the BLUEGRASS COUNTRY. But can hit you from deep, mid-range, a nice pull-up game, and smooth runner type shots. Offensively he is ready as any in this class as a traditional scoring G.

6. TOBIAS HARRIS PF/SF: Rocky Top was thrilled with this haul from the east coast. A really skilled Forward who does a little of everything well and can play both Forward spots. A very good work ethic that will fit in well with Coach Pearle's Up and Down workman-like system that get everyone involved. This kid will also play within himself and won't make a lot of self-induced mistakes. Will be a stablizer on both ends for the VOLS.

7. TERRENCE JONES SF: A true point-forward in the Scottie Pippen mode built long and lanky like one CELTIC Forward KEVIN GARNETT. This is the Prototype forward that colleges are looking forward. He can shoot it from deep as well as take it from end to end. Very High Basketball IQ with an unselfish game and kills defenders with a dribble-drive game on penetration. UK has another one and Coach Cal 's arsenal is back to top shelf with all those early defections this past year.

BLUEDUDE'S Best of the Rest

WILL BARTON SG MEMPHIS
PERRY JONES PF BAYLOR
TRISTAN THOMPSON PF/C TEXAS
C.J. LESLIE PF NC STATE
DESHAUN THOMAS SG OHIO STATE
RAY MCCALLUM JR. PG DETROIT
FAB MELO C SYRACUSE
COREY JOSEPH PG TEXAS
JOE JACKSON PG MEMPHIS

Watched all these prospects at the McDonald's All-American game in Columbus Ohio this past year. Overall a talented class with Quality Big men. Very good Guards and Small forwards in this class as well. But in the end the class will be remembered as the HARRISON BARNES AND KYRIE IRVING CLASS who I think are the best overall talents in the class.
