The Sacramento Kings had a solid game plan but the game plan didn't include the Lakers Bench leading the Lakers to victory. With the American Music Awards going on next door at the Nokia Theater and the Bulls and Clips playing earlier in Staples...the Lakers had to wait the turn to get to #ForeverPURPLE and they did just that.

The Lakers used a methodical approach and slowly but surely took apart the Kings and get a solid Team Win 100-86. The Lakers Bench ("Shirts & Skins" Figueroa Street L.A.) was again solid as they out scored the Kings Bench 40-26. It was Lakers Wing Xavier "X-Man" Henry who had a game-high  21 points off the bench while Lakers Starters Gasol (20 points 10 rebs) and Jordan Hill (10 pts 13 rebs) led the charge on that Lakers Front Line.

The Kings played steady but fell short as PG Greivis Vasquez led #ForeverPurple with 20 points and seven helpers. Kings Big @boogieCousins had 18 points , eight boards, and seven helpers as the Kings fall to a disappointing 4-9 as they have been playing better than their record indicates. Lakers led 72-61 after three and then closed it with a 27-25 run in the final frame.

Lakers move to 7-7 and you have to give GM Mitch Kupchak credit for having all that Cap Space in "2014" and still putting a solid and more than athletic mix with Vets out there for the 2013-14 Lake Show.

Next time Laker Nation tell the Clips t o play at the L.A. Sports Arena when Staples and the Nokia Theater has something going on on the same day as they have no Banners!

Sincerely,

Team 16 Chips
