Yes former Auburn War Eagle RHP and Oakland A's Farmhand and #1 Tim "Huddie" Hudson is on his way back West this time not with his Original Team the Oakland Athletics but the San Francisco Giants. Huddie was having a solid season with the Atlanta Braves until he broke his ankle that put him on the DL for the remainder of 2013. He still has excellent stuff even at 38 years old and he put up an 3.57 ERA in 21 starts for the 20-13 Braves and that was good for 8-7. He now joins a Staff that is led by Madison Bumgarner, Matt Cain, Tim Lincecum, and Matt Vogelsong and out with Vet LHP Barry Zito and in comes "Huddy" for their Vet #5 Starter. Excellent move for the 2014 Gigantes looking ahead at least on paper. "Huddy" and the Gigantes reached a 2-year Deal just north of $23 million. Excellent move Giants GM Brian Sabean and Skip Bruce Bochy.

The Rip City Blazers are not using smoke and mirrors as they are off to their 9-2 start for 2013-14. They retooled in the Front Court with Thomas Robinson and Robin Lopez which made All-Star PF LaMarcus Aldridge to carry the Scoring Load and not so much the rebounding and interior defense load. They also went out and picked up a perfect fit to play behind the Blazers Starting Back court of Damian Lillard and Wes Matthews Jr. in Mo Williams. A Combo who has been an All-Star playing the PG is super-solid and a winner. He and Cavs back-up Combo G Jarrett Jack were the two most experienced back-up PGs on the Market in the Summer of 2013. Throw in Do-It-All SF Nicolas Batum being backed up by Smooth-Operating SF Dorrell Wright...the Blazers have something going in the "Only Game in Town" in the Rose City. "Fear the Deer" in Beer Town USA on Hump Day and the "West Side Story Report" on Friday Night back in the Rose Garden as they should and will get a standing ovation from Blazer Nation. Big Ups to long-time Logo Assistant and Blazers Lead Man Terry Stotts for getting that talented roster to buy into his Approach and Scheme.
