The New York Knicks knew they needed all Hands on Deck and Knicks SG "Get Shots" J.R. quickly turned into "Take Shots" J.R. and the Knicks followed his lead to an L in Circle City 81-76.Behind a Grab Bag of Numbers by Pacers soon-to-be All Star SG/SF Paul George ( 24 pts, 11 rebs, 5 helpers, 6 thefts, and 1 No No/pictured right) the Pacers became "Gold Swagger Rated PG-24) and smothered the Knicks in the End to get the Victory. The only other Pacer in Double Figures was Back Up Big Ian Manhimi of France with 13 points.
The Knicks without Star Custodian (Jack of All Trades Small Forward) 'Melo Anthony, the Bully of MSG, suspended by the NBA and it was connected to your Favorite Brand Cereal Honey Nut Cheerios struggled to get Offense. The Knicks only shot 4 for 20 from Deep and when they are not dialed in from Deep they are very beatable especially without 'Melo. Knicks SG JR Smith took 29 shots an he was thinking I will take my Shots and 'Melo's and was 10 for 29 with 25 points. Tyson Chandler was the only other Knick in Double-Figures with a Double-Double of 12 points and 15 off the Window. This was a Game of Defensive Intensity as the Pacers have been locked in on the Defensive End for quite sometime. This Game might get the Knicks back playing tenacious Winning Time D themselves. Both Teams shot in the Mid 30's from the Field and good Open Looks were hard to come by.
After an 18-4 Start the Manhattan Knicks are 5-8 and move to 23-12 on the Season. Gold Swagger runs their Record to 22-14 in leading the NBA Central.
