The New Orleans Hornets will begin playing under the Name in the NBA's Southwest Division the New Orleans Pelicans as soon as the 2013-14 NBA Season begins. The Hornets were looking to get away from the Original Charlotte Franchise and connect with the City of New Orleans and the State of Louisiana.

Now having said all that there should be a more interesting move in the Atlantic States in Charlotte, North Carolina. Michael Jeffrey Jordan has made it clear on a few occasions that if the Hornets change their name and the Hornets become available again Jordan would love to reconnect Queen City, NC with the Original Hornets Name and Colors.  Imagine that the Hive Drive and with Teal and Purple Back in the Building with the Buzzzzzzzzzzzzz over the loud Speakers.


Jordan is also trying to remove the Brand given to the Team by First Owner Bob Johnson who names the Team after his First Name BOBcats. That's why the Bluedude commonly refers to the Bobcats as the mikeCATS. With the Hornets moving to the Pelicans...Air Jordan...it's your turn.
