We talk about the 2012 NFL MVP Race coming down to Two Players essentially in the {Purple People's RB All Day Adrian Peterson and the Orange Crush QB Peyton Manning. Well One might want to throw Texans DE JJ Watt up in the Mix and put him down as a Serious Candidate for MVP.

There is a Stat the NFL Keeps that most People not in the Know have never heard about and it is called Defensive Defeats. A Defeat is characterized as Three Things:

1. Turnovers (or tipped passes that lead to Turnovers)
2. Tackles for a Loss
3. Tackles or Passes defensed that prevent conversion on third or fourth down

Then you say to yourself well how many Players are on this List and the Players that are on the List Impact the Game in a Variety of Ways that we take for granted every Sunday unless your extremely close to the Action. How many Defeats did the Top Two Defensive Players in the 2012 NFL Season JJ Watt and Broncos OLB Von Miller get....Watt 56 (an NFL Record) and Miller 39, who was just Six off the Record that use to be held by Ravens All-World MLB Ray Lewis.

Watt blows the Record by some 11 Defeats....

How great is Ravens MLB Ray Lewis as he did have the Record for Defeats at 45 and on the List Three Times from 1998, 1999, and 2003

My All-Time Favorite and the Heart and Soul of the Bucs Tony Dungy/Monte Kiffin Led Defenses OLB Derrick Brooks of FSU 'Noles as he was on the List Twice in 1999 and 2000 along with the 3rd Highest in Defeats with 42 in the 1999 Season.

Purple People ILB Ed McDaniel on them Dennis Green Vikes led Defenses with 40 in '98...

The Dolphins put Zach Thomas and Brother -In-Law Jason Taylor both in the Phins Ring of Honor this Past Season and rightfully so...Both Players  Jimmy Johnson Picks in Miami.

Orange Crush OLB Von Miller will only get better and higher on this List and the Broncos didn't miss on this One...

London Fletcher on this List playing with the Bills and yes the same Fletch that mans the Middle for the NFC Wild Card and 2012 NFC East Champion Redskins...

What ever happened to Jamir Miller of the Browns as he had his Best Years in C-Town after he left the Cards...

Both Bears Backers Urlacher and Briggs will both go down as Two of the Best Ever to don the Navy and Orange and call Halas Hall Home forever...

Redskins OLB Washington was one of the Best Backers in the Early 2k's in the NFL...

Don't think the Texans miss OLB Brian Cushing...37 Defeats in 2009 and a Monster on D and arguably Player 1B if Watt is 1A on that Texans D...that good and instinctive from Bergen Catholic NJ HS and All-American at Men of Troy....SC under Coach Pete Carroll

The Sack Artist that Lions Nation will never forget and one of the Lions All-Time Greats...Robert Porcher and he joins Watt as the only D-Ends on the List...Imagine That
