Every NFL team looks to improve their offense from the inside out. Which means a great Offensive line means high productivity on the offensive side of the ball. This also means teams probably have a game breaker in the backfield or on the outside. Let the BLUEDUDE take you through the best pass catchers in the game. Whether you are playing outside or in the slot, these guys are a QB's and Offensive coordinators dream.
Let's start with the #1 WR in the game and this should be a no-brainer if you know your Sundays:

1. ANDRE " I AIN'T SAID NOTHIN YET BUT KILLIN YOU DAWG" JOHNSON H-TOWN: The man has quietly become an unstoppable force not only in the AFC South but the NFL. Huge size, explosive off the line (impossible to play bump and run), Great YAC (yards after catch), and a professionals professional. Normally in most offenses guys get put in the slot to free the up so Corners or safeties can't use the sideline as an extra defender. When #80 is in the slot forget rollin coverage just call timeout and have your D re access things. One network ask REVIS ISLAND (JETS CB AND #1 CB IN THE NFL) TO GIVE THEM ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE A GROUP OF RECEIVERS, the interviewer says," Andre Johnson Texans", and Revis answered, "A BEAST". NEED I SAY MORE.

2. LARRY "FITZ" FITZGERALD DESERT: NO ONE one WR is more Precise at running routes and going for the "JUMP BAll" than FITZ. A one man wrecking crew and he usually does his damage in double coverage. Great hands, size, YAC, and No Bump and Run with #11 either or it is 6. Not the fastest guy at wideout but the good ones never get caught from behind do they. SEE JERRY RICE A 4.6 40 YD DASH at the NFL Combine out of Mississippi Valley State if I am not mistaken. #11 will take a hit this year no Boldin or Warner means dooms day for stats.

3.RANDY " THE ORIGINAL FREAK" MOSS PATS: When this freakish athlete from the good state of WV got kicked out of South Bend(ND) I said who? what? where? when? and why? Then 'NOLES Coach Bobby Bowden gave him chance after chance at Florida State and Moss' roomy then was one NFL Bust but Helluva college player Peter Warrick, and Moss was kicked out of his 2nd school. Then the "FREAK" went back to his home state and starred for Marshall Thundering Herd and blew up. Catching short hitches and 9 routes from one Chad Pennington and it was like no one touched him on his way to the house in every highlight. Vikes and Denny Green took a chance on this kid and Moss told The great CHRIS CARTER, " I AM GOING TO RIP THE LEAGUE UP". And 12 years later still ripping it up at a top 5 all-time wr pace REALLY DAWG. REALLY

NOW THE NEXT 7 as we drop down literally....................

4. CALVIN JOHNSON MOTOWN: The prototype big receiver who was a can't miss coming out of the "Rambling Wreck" of GA TECH. As a very knowledgeable football guy when the lions drafted him the "BLUEDUDE" said WTF? they picking another receiver after After Matt Millen used the last 11 1st round picks on names like this Charlie Rogers, Mike Williams, and Roy"Legend"Williams, yeah the self-proclaimed #1 receiver in BIG D after Miles Austin blew up........BUM. "CJ' IS THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO THE "D" SINCE THE great Barry Sanders really. A bonafide threat on the field and a surefire Pro-Bowler for years to come.

5. REGGIE "FROM THE U" WAYNE NAPTOWN: A LOT of you out there are like there is #4 well I think he has lost a little bit the last season or two and not to take anything away from Reggie, but doesn't it seem like when you play with Peyton Manning everyone catches the pill. Reggie has been a steady WR considering he played taxi to Manning and Harrison for years until his number was called to be #1. The man can play though a consummate professional just like the man throwing to him.

6. DESEAN "LONG BEACH POLY" JACKSON PHILLY: This is real talk now. This little dude appears to me as one of the "SMURFS" from the Washington redskin teams in the 80's. Except a newer version (Like going from TECMO Bowl to PS3). They do not get any more elusive and dangerous in space than this former GOLDEN BEAR. Exceptional speed and route running a very polished WR for his age. Now we will see what he is really made of now the "KEVIN KOLB SCIENCE PROJECT" is about to be unveiled. I know DJ said when McNabb was traded, " we won't skip a beat". Hold on young fella McNabb was HELLA TIGHT as they say in the bay. Keep them Celebrations goin DJ that's why the BLUEDUDE tunes in.

7. BRANDON MARSHALL M I A: Another big receiver but unlike Calvin Johnson won't run away from you. But very Physical and a welcome edition to the FINS who Marshall fits what they like to do offensively. Run the ball, ocassionally go deep, and were running a lot of intermediate routes. QB Chad Henne won't be complaining because Marshall catches everything thrown to him. Just ran out of time in Denver with Coach or is that Warden Josh McDaniels.

8. RODDY WHITE A T L: Really coming on as the GO TO GUY in falcons offense. Was not really utilized in the Mike Vick Experience because of the scheme. Now QB matt Ryan is at the helm, Roddy looks like the Receiver the dirty birds drafted in the first round out of UAB a few years back. Great Hands, route running, and good feet. Reminds me of a different version of "THE PLAYMAKER" HOF WR MICHAEL IRVIN.

9. MILES "HOW MANY KARDASHIAN SISTERS ARE THERE" AUSTIN 'BOYS: Speaking of cowboys QB Tony Romo has finally found a #1 receiver who just go about his business and plays the game in undrafted and Monmouth NJ alum WR MILE AUSTIN. Very explosive at the point of attack. game breaking speed if he gets a step on you. And really good hands and feet to go with overall physical size as an wideout. If Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett can ever figure out that offense runs through a combo of running and Romo's arm , Austin will have even better numbers this year. For a #2 receiver. Yeah right Roy #11 Williams hell you might be third on the depth chart but we all know you ain't first.

10. STEVE SMITH QUEEN CITY: he has lost a few steps but a couple of years ago you could make a case for perhaps the Best WR in the Game. No one CB will ever outwork the man from the CITY OF ANGELS. Still can be dangerous if the panthers find a TE and a reliable #2 Wr to go with him. Sorry Dewayne Jarrett, now I see why you and the other USC Bust QB Matt Leinart were a match made in USC Heaven.

10a. JENNINGS/DRIVER
10b. All the Saints WR's
10c. HINES WARD

That concludes the BLUEDUDE'S WATCHLIST for the top 10 NFL wide outs in the game. There are some up and coming guys out there but for right now I roll with what's a given right now. The top 3 on this list have to be every one's top 3 if you have any sense at all. Only Reggie Wayne could probably crack that top 3.
