The JUNIOR CIRCUITS Top Offensive Players in 2012 by Position.."SILVER SLUGGER Awards"... CUP of JOE in the SHOW Report with SILVER Lumber #AmericanLeague

The Best of the Best in the Show on the Junior Circuit for 2012 was unveiled Today known as the "Silver Slugger Awards". This Award is given to the Best Player by Position that had the best Offensive Year. It is named after The Hillerich & Bradsby Company...maker of Louisville Slugger Bats.

The American League is a Mix of Big Names Usual Suspects and the Futures and all that in between. The AL Infield is all Tigers and Bronx Bombers as it also has the Al's Leading Hits Leader in Jeter and the AL Triple Crown Winner in Miggy of the D. The Outfield is filled with a Free Agent near Big D, a Mickey Mantle-esque Center Fielder, and a Power Surge from no where in TWIN-kies Land in the Twin Cities. The Designated Hitter on the AL was a Total Surprise and not only the Name but the Team as well.

The 2012 AL Silver Slugger Award Winners

Back Stop: A.J. Pierzynski Pale Hose

1B: Prince of the D

2B: Robbie Cano Bronx Bombers

SS: #2 in Pinstripes (Top Picture)

Hot Corner: Miggy of Comerica (pictured middle #24)

LF: "The Natural" Josh Hamilton Rangers

CF: "Big Trout in a Small Pond" Mike Trout Halos
(pictured at Bottom in white #27)

RF: Josh Willigham Twin-kies

DH: "B2" Billy Butler Royals

What a Collection of Talent and there was plenty left off. Miggy and Trout put up Seasons for the Ages as One gets the Triple Crowns and the Other touches almost all the Rookie Records in the AL.

Derek Jeter at his Age and playing in the Bronx Zoo all these Years to play at such a High Level....Jordan Brand...Become Legendary.

The Natural Hamilton cooled off a little from the Summer Months on but you can't discount the fact that he is arguably the Best when he has it going at the Dish....Rangers Pay Da Man!

Willingham came from no where to some where like in the middle of the Big Fly Race and RBI Race and he is a Solid Piece for the Twins moving forward.

Butler was the man in the Middle of that Royals Line Up all season and don't be surprised if the Royals start making their Push in 2013 up the AL Central.

The Fact that Prince Fielder could put up those kind of numbers behind a Triple Crown Winner is beyond me. As Prince and Miggy left no Ducks on the Pond for any other Tiger Player to pick up.

The South Siders Pierzynski is like Vino in Northern California getting better over Time....and was in the MVP Talk through the Summer well kind of.
