The NCAA Darling Virginia Commonwealth University Head Coach Shaka SMART decided to stay and why not. He is comfortable at the school and knows the lay of the land. The VCU Athletic Department reward Coach SMART with a huge jump in salary in deservedly so.

SMART gets an 8 year extension worth over $1.2 Million per year which is right in the neighborhood of most MAJOR COLLEGE Coaches and where their salaries start. He was rumored to make $325K this past season and he is doing what all other coaches are doing when they win.....getting compensated and job security....which at that level is hard to come by.

Moving on......remember when the Phoenix SUNS and Orlando MAGIC had that huge trade involving the likes of Vince CARTER and Marcin GORTAT from the MAGIC for Hedo TURKOGLU and Jason RICHARDSON. Looking at the trade many said it was a good trade for the MAGIC....but looking at it closely....it was a trade that had to be done...at least in STEVE NASH'S Mind.

NASH'S soon to be Ex-WIFE Alejandra Amirilla NASH gave birth to the couples 3rd child this year as they have 2 daughters...the only problem was the BABY BOY was rumored to be BLACK and obviously not his.

The BABY'S Father is rumored to be NASH'S former back court mate Jason RICHARDSON aka J-RICH. The Couple also have been split for some time and NASH has definitely moved on as he is now sporting a 22 year old girlfriend in which SINGER and Songwriter Lenny KRAVITZ would call from one of his Hit SONGS......BLACK GIRL.....that's right and her name BRITTANY RICHARDSON...and no relation to J-RICH......thankfully.....look her up on the web through GOOGLE....like the BLUEDUDE Doesn't know...and I was tipped off by one of my sources.

WOW...I used to work in the NBA so the BLUEDUDE is well aware of what the happenings are in the ASSOCIATION......unfortunately for the SUNS it didn't stop where the Tony PARKER and Brent BARRY saga stopped...this one went DEEPER.....literally.

Now at 32-9 and winning 5 straight games in the BIG EAST Tourney....every ones said the UCONN HUSKIES are limping into the BIG DANCE of the NCAA MEN'S Basketball Tourney tired......guess what.....the HUSKIES nor Head Coach Jim CALHOUN didn't get the MEMO..as the HUSKIES reeled off 5 more in a row to win the 2011 NATIONAL TITLE in MEN'S BASKETBALL.

And the given was All-American Guard Kemba WALKER, who MAY 8th will graduate in just 3 years, have a National Title to his resume', and it will be mother's day as he was asked by CBS Announcer Jim NANTZ what will happen on MAY 8th, but it was his Supporting Cast that cashed in big-time.

Look at these names Jeremy LAMB, Shabazz NAPIER, and Roscoe SMITH all freshman who played an integral part in taking a lot of pressure off of WALKER. And the BIGS....Tyler ORLANDER and Alex ORIAKHI(Freshman and Sophomore respectively) played a monumental role in keeping the BUTLER BULLDOGS off the GLASS to key the VICTORY.

Looking at it even closer it was the LENGTH of the UCONN Defenders and the overall athleticism that finally got to the BULLDOGS......and even Butler Head Coach Brad STEVENS was quoted as saying, "we knew if we got behind that we would be in trouble fron their outstanding guard play".

CALHOUN becomes the oldest coach to ever win a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in Basketball and joins this list of 3 or more CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Adolph RUPP Kentucky
John WOODEN UCLA
Mike KRZYZEWSKI Duke
Bob KNIGHT Indiana
Jim CALHOUN UCONN

Those Coaches with 2 CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Henry IBA Oklahoma STATE
Billy DONOVAN FLORIDA
Denny CRUM LOUISVILLE
Dean SMITH UNC
Roy WILLIAMS UNC
Branch McCRACKEN INDIANA
Ed JUCKER CINCINNATI
Phil WOOLPERT SAN FRANCISCO

What a list...both list....and there are come ACTIVE COACHES who may add to their resumes in the FUTURE.
