Who could have imagined.....the BLUEDUDE has always maintained that the WORM, Dennis RODMAN was a first-ballot NBA Hall of FAMER, and that he was the best rebounder and one-on-one Post Defender I have ever seen.

Well the Detroit PISTONS waisted no time in putting his #10 up in the PALACE of Auburn Hills Rafters Friday Night as the BULLS, ironically, were playing visitor to the 2011 struggling PISTONS.

There at the Halftime Ceremony were the GM that drafted the WORM 27th Pick, the 1st pick in the 2nd round, Jack McCLOSKEY, and some of hie well-noted PISTONS Teammates, James "BUDDHA" EDWARDS, Rick MAHORN, Vinnie "MICROWAVE" JOHNSON, John 'SPIDER-MAN" SALLEY, John LONG, Isiah "ZEKE" THOMAS, and the current Pistons President and a darn good one in McnEESE STATE'S Joe DUMARS.

RODMAN thanked the Pistons Family the DAVIDSONS', as the PISTONS have been up for sale for awhile now so it is only fitting before new ownership comes in the DAVIDSONS', Dumars, and the PISTON FAMILY put one more Jersey up why they can, his teammates, the FANS of the PISTONS, and his wife and kids.

The son of a former Air Force Pilot and a hard-working mother, DENNIS' childhood was a little bit strange. His father left the family before he was 5 and his mother had to attend to being the head of the household with his two older sisters, Debra and Kim. RODMAN maintained growing up he was somewhat of an introvert and different then most kids but had bigger problem in his household.

When the family moved to South Oak Cliff, one of the more crime-ridden areas of DALLAS, TX, Dennis said his mother cared more about his sisters than him. They were both better basketball players than him and they went on to be All-Americans at Louisiana TECH and Stephen F. AUSTIN universities respectively.

Rodman was only 5-6 s a freshman in High School and didn't play any more basketball until his growth spurt towards his senior year in HS. So after HS he got his shot as a friend told the Coaches at COOKE COUNTY Community College in Gainesville, Texas that they should give DENNIS a try and in only one semester before he flunked out he averaged 17ppg and 13rebs/g.

After that year this is when DENNIS took off. He then transferred to Southeastern Oklahoma STATE University, an NAIA School, where he was a 3-time All-American. In those 3 seasons there he averaged 26ppg and 16 rebs/g and led the NAIA in rebounding 2 of those seasons.

That's when the PISTONS and McCLOSKEY took a chance on a kid from a small school in OKLAHOMA and that year the PISTONS also picked up SPIDER-MAN John SALLEY in the 1st round of that draft as well.

He helped the PISTONS to 2 NBA CHAMPIONSHIPS and played there from 1986-1993 when he was thn traded to the San Antonio SPURS and played a season and a half with the SPURS before one of the biggest pick-ups in NBA History......then the spurs traded the WORM to the BULLS prior to the 1995-96 season.

That's when the WORM felt at home again as he helped JORDAN, PIPPEN, and Coach JACKSON to the TITLE in 1995-96 and a NBA-record 72 wins that season, which still stands. The WORM fit right in from the START as his best Friend Jack HALEY was also picked up by the BULLS in the same season.

The BULLS went on to win 2 more CHAMPIONSHIPS and RODMAN was a huge part of that as the BULLS defensively were the best NBA Team ever in my mind.......imagine HARPER, JORDAN, PIPPEN, and the WORM on Defense.......it was entertainment at it's best.

Briefly when the BULLS won those 3 TITLEs they had a massive rebuilding project......yeah thanks to GM Jerry KRAUSE aka CRUMBS, because when he ate that's what was all over his suit coat, everyone was gone including the WORM. He then spent brief stints in LA playing with the LAKERS and the DALLAS MAVERICKS, where the BLUEDUDE got an up-close look at the happenings in BIG D.

What a career and to his credit....he might have not been the professional's professional........but the WORM was entertainment at its highest after he dated MADONNA....and to this day there hasn't been a character like the WORM or DENNIS RODMAN anywhere.

NOTE: RODMAN was quoted on separate occasions last night in DETRIOT saying he was going into the Hall Of FAME as he already got the call.....stay tuned......MONDAY we will know for sure.
