So the WRITING is on the WALL in the NFC everyone knows the FORZEN TUNDRA probably awaits them. But first thing is first the WILD CARD Weekend in the NFC and WHO U WIT?

Can the NEW-Look LIONS led by fiery Coach Jim SCHWARTZ and QB Matt STAFFORD overcome the luxurious Mercedes-Benz SUPERDOME, the BEST TAILGATE in the NFL, WHO DAT? Nation, and the DUO of Coach Sean PAYTON and ALL-MILKY WAY Galaxy QB Drew BREES who played QB with Buck ROGERS in the 25th Century.

Then over by the HUDSON as their STADIUM goes from GREEN to BLUE or after WEEK 16 was it always GOTHAM BLUE since GOTHAM GREEN has WON NOTHING. The NY Football GIANTS meet one of the ELITE QB's in the NFL according to his Coach Mike SMITH in QB Matt RYAN aka MATTY ICE. This is an intriguing matchup because you don't know which FALCONS or GIANTS Team will show up.

The NFC 2 TOP SEEDS...the PACKERS and the 49ERS have 1st Round BYES as they await the WINNERS of the WILD CARD ROUNDS. The ROAD to SUPER BOWL 46 starts now in the NFC and is sponsored by GRAB THEM like the GOOD HANDS PEOPLE and if there is nothing to GRAB then you shouldn't be in WINNING TIME.

Mercedes-Benz SUPERDOME in the BIG EASY

LIONS at SAINTS: It is on and POPPIN' as the LIONS are in the PLAYOFFS for the 1st time since the 1999-2000 Season when they were led by QB Gus FEROTTE...yeah the ex-REDSKINS QB...and no he wasn't FIRE. Now looking at it closely the LIONS have the OFFENSE to stay with the SAINTS or do they want to go that route. The BIGGEST Challenge for the LIONS is getting to BREES and the SAINTS have averaged in their last 3 games 42 plus PUNTOS.

The SAINTS have everything working in their favor...BREES, a CONFIDENT DEFENSE, and some of that CAJUN/NAWLINS' Home Cooking.....the SUPERDOME and WHO DAT? NATION.

The Multi-Million $ Question is....CAN the LIONS slow down the SAINTS OFFENSE?

Tale of the TAPE for this NBC Saturday Night Contest:
(NFL RANK in Parenthesis)

OFFENSE
LIONS
29.6 PTS (4th) 369.1 YDS (5th) 300.9 PASS Yds (4th) 95,2 RUSH Yds (29th)

SAINTS
34.2 (2nd) 467.1 YDS (1st) 334.2 PASS Yds (1st) 132.9 RUSH Yds (6th)

DEFENSE
LIONS
24.2 PTS (23rd) 367.6 YDS (23rd) 239.4 PASS Yds (22nd) 128.1 RUSH Yds (23rd)

SAINTS
21.2 PTS (13th) 368.4 YDS (24th) 259.8 PASS Yds (30th) 108.6 RUSH Yds (12th)

Looking at the STATS the ONE THING that hits you is the SAINTS Offensive NUMBERS.....WOWZA. BRRES and COMPANY can throw it and run the PIGSKIN. The one thing that may help slow down the SAINTS Run Game is that ROOKIE RB Mark INGRAM is out of the PLAYOFFS with a TURF TOE.

The LIONS are NO SLOUCH themselves as they boast one of the NFL's HIgh Octane Offenses. Neither one of these DEFENSES are really good an the the DEFENSE who makes a COUPLE of STANDS in this one will probably win this CONTEST. Don't RULE OUT the LIONS.
WINNER: SAINTS 30-27...the BLUEDUDE just did...SORRY Motor CITY great season

The Tale of the TAPE for SUNDAY's Contest on FOX:

OFFENSE
FALCONS
25.1 PTS (7th) 376.6 YDS (10th) 262 PASS Yds (8th) 114.6 RUSH Yds (17th)

GIANTS
24.6 PTS (9th) 385.1 YDS (8th) 295.9 PASS Yds (5th) 89.2 RUSH Yds (32nd)

DEFENSE
FALCONS
21.9 PTS (18th) 333.6 YDS (12th) 236.6 PASS Yds (20th) 97 RUSH Yds (6th)

GIANTS
25 PTS (25th) 376.4 YDS (27th) 255.1 PASS Yds (29th) 121.2 RUSH Yds (19th)

The GINATS lose games on DEFENSE it is in BLACK and WHITS. The FALCONS lose their GAMES because One they don't create enough TURNOVERS on D and the OFFENSE has POWER OUTAGES during each game. Something has to give in this contest and if the NUMBERS hold true the GIANTS will have another DEFENSIVE Meltdown and the FALCONS will take full advantage of it.
WINNER: The DIRTY BIRDS 23-20...MATTY ICE proves as such.
