The BLUEDUDE saw the list of the TOP 100 Greatest NFL Players of all-time and said wow that's really cool but I need a numbers breakdown. I need to know which Team and Position had the most entries. Well after tallying everything up there were a lot of surprises but the most shocking surprise was who was left off by team and position.

The BLUEDUDE knows you can't put everyone that played at a high-level and made a major impact on the game on this list. And unfortunately there are a lot of HALL OF FAMERS that didn't make the cut and soon to be HOF'S that are not on the list. My list is pretty complete as I will give you the percentages by position, as well as who I thought was left off should have been on.

WITHOUT FURTHER A DUE HERE IS THE BLUEDUDE'S BREAKDOWN:

Quarterbacks and Running Backs make up about 40% of the list with the Center Position coming in at the lowest of 3%

63% of the list comes from 4 Positions combined in Quarterback, Running Back, Linebacker, and Defensive Back (Cornerback/Safety)

Of All the Positions combined Defensive Line and Offensive Line make up only 12% each which is somewhat shocking because you know it all starts up front but they never get the glamour or glitz playing in these positions

There was also only 7 Wide Receivers and 6 Tight Ends on the list which if they started the list in the modern era you would definitely see more with the way the GAME is almost PASS FIRST and let me spread the defense out mentality

Talking Teams now from a Percentage Standpoint...............

50% of the list is made up just 7 teams the COWBOYS, BEARS, RAMS (ST. LOUIS/LOS ANGELES), PACKERS, STEELERS, RAIDERS, and COLTS (BALTIMORE/INDIANAPOLIS)

The JETS, DOLPHINS, BENGALS, TITANS, BRONCOS, and FALCONS only make up 6% of the list and had 1 player each which is shocking with all the great 1970's Teams that played in MIAMI and DENVER

The TEXANS, JAGS, PANTHERS, SAINTS, and SEAHAWKS had NO PLAYERS with all due respect to some of these franchises being of the expansion type

The DALLAS COWBOYS and CHICAGO BEARS had 8 players each which was the most players on the list with the BEARS having 2 in the top 10 and the Cowboys having none in the top 25 ........COWBOYS Defensive Tackle BOB LILLY came in at #26

The ST LOUIS/LOS ANGELES RAMS, GREEN BAY PACKERS, BALTIMORE/INDIANAPOLIS COLTS, AND PITTSBURGH STEELERS came in 2nd with 7 players each with the COLTS having 2 in the top 10 and the PACKERS having 1 in the top 10

The OAKLAND RAIDERS with all their History and great teams only had 6 players coming in at 3rd on the list

The List started from #1100 to #1 which was the 100th player in QB "Broadway" JOE WILLY NAMATH of the JETS and the only player on the list from GOTHAM CITY GREEN and the #1 player in WR JERRY LEE RICE of the 49ers and they were the only team with 4 players on the list and 3 of the 4 players were in the top 11 which is astonishing to say the least and NFL People in the know compare players today to those 3 players in RICE, MONTANA, and LOTT still the PROTOTYPICAL Strong Safety teams look for today

1 Player from the modern era in the top 10 was #8 INDIANAPOLIS COLTS QB PEYTON MANNING and the other two players playing now too in the modern era in the top 25 are #18 RAY LEWIS of the BALTIMORE RAVENS and #21 TOM BRADY of the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS.......and that is right on time with no argument...RAY in the BLUEDUDE's EYES is the BEST Middle Linebacker I have ever seen period
