What a turn of events in the MOTOR City yesterday with the game between the REDKINS and the LIONS. The LIONS and QB MATTHEW STAFFORD won the game 37-25 but it wasn't the final score that has people everywhere talking, it is what transpired in the 4th qtr. with about 1:45 to go in the game.

With the REDSKINS trailing with 1:45 to go REDSKINS Head Coach Mike Shanahan puts in back-up QB REX GROSSMAN and benches starter MCNABB. To everyones surprise, including the DETROIT LIONS, who by then are thinking they are going to give us the game with GROSSMAN in there.

Shocking to say the least, McNABB was 17 for 30, 210 yards passing, 1 td, and a pick. Do those stats warrant a benching for a top 10 QB that was playing well enough to stay in the game. Grossman then dropped back on the ensuing play, fumbled, and rookie sensation Ndamukong Suh of the LIONS picked the fumble up for a easy TD.

After the game REDSKINS Coach Shanahan says," Rex runs the 2-minute offense better than Donovan that's why he was in there and Donovan was pulled. HUH! I know he just didn't say that after you traded for #5 in APRIL to be your franchise QB or just an Elite Starting QB Washington has not had in a while and you come up with that excuse. I could see if McNabb just rode into town but he didn't. He was there for most of the OTA's the 'SKINS had and a consumate professional and good teammate from day one.

As a Football Fan and very knowlegeable to a high level, you think BRADY, MANNING, RODGERS, ROETHLISBERGER, SCHAUB, THE OTHER MANNING, SANCHEZ , and on, on, on would've had gotten benched.........hell no.......but McNabb, Young, Vick, Garrard, Jason Campbell all will get benched and have this season......you know where I am going but you go there for me because THE BLUEDUDE IS A FAMILY SHOW........RIGHT.

TWO WORDS for Coach Shanahan......POWER AND CONTROL.....and he should be sending some of that money to that offense he had in DENVER when he won those back to back super bowls. It wasn't like he had a defense but he had #7 ELWAY and #30 TERRELL DAVIS........SHANAHAN should just say his Son made that call to Bench Mcnabb and you should ask him. If his son is paid like a pro then adress the media as one.

Last Week in Chicago I saw McNABB walk away from QB COACH KYLE SHANAHAN when he tried to address DONOVCAN about the interception he had just threw and McNABB blew him off then and MIKE SHANAHAN had to reel #5 BACK IN then.

Now with a bye week McNABB has to be thinking man I am going through the same thing I went through in PHILLY for what.......MAYBE ITS TIME FOR #5 to go ahead in go to the CFL where the great WARREN MOON starred for years until he got his NFL chance. At least the cnandiens will appreciate a good QB when they have one.

There ar at least 10 NFL TEAMS in the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE that would take McNabb and let him do his thing for 16 staright games trust me. And don't give me that he wasn't playing well and we had to make a change BS.
