The 2011 NFL Combine has come to a close and some players made noise and some didn't. The LABOR Dispute is still a huge topic moving forward but here are some things that stuck out at this Year's Combine:

Heisman Trophy Winner and All-American QB Cam NEWTON of Auburn had a descent workout all the way up to when he was throwing the Football....didn't complete a lot of his throws and still needs a huge Pro DAY at AUBURN to solidify a Top 10 Selection.

The #1 Overall on most people's boards CLEMSON DE DaQuan BOWERS got his measurables but didn't do any of the Combine Drills outside of that as HIS KNEE becomes a huge issue.....if his knee is OK he should be the 1st player taken or a sure-fire Top 3.

The area that impressed me the most is the area of the draft that is deepest....Defesnive LINEMAN.....that group did not disappoint and it looks like they will have at least 6-8 of those guys go in the 1st round names like.....Austin, Watt, Fairley, Bowers, and DARIUS to name a few.

Blaine GABBERT of MIZZOU did everything at the COMBINE but throw and he looks like the BEST QB in the Draft as he has only his Pro Day left to confirm that notion.

Guys who were as advertised:

WR Julio JONES 'BAMA
WR AJ GREEN UGA
LB Von MILLER 12th man A&M
DT Marcell DARIUS 'BAMA
DT Nick FAIRLEY AUBURN
DT Marvin AUSTIN UNC
DE Robert QUINN
DE JJ WATT BADGERS
DE Cameron JORDAN CAL
RB MArk INGRAM 'BAMA
TE DJ Williams RAZORBACKS
OL Nate SOLDER UC BOulder
OL Anthony CASTONZO BC
OL Gabe CARIMI Wisconsin
DB Patrick PETERSON LSU
DB Prince AMAKUMARA BIG RED

Switching GEARS Carson PALMER still wants out of CINCY and you know as well As I Do BENGALS President MIKE BROWN won't give i at all...GOOD LUCK CARSON....but you did throw a lot of RED ZONE PICKS last season and MIKE BROWN had nothing to do with that.

KNICKS are somewhat human as they fall to the O MAGIC and Dwight HOWARD after the KNICKS had a 12 point lead early in the 3rd qtr. But it wasn't the PLAY of Howard it was PG Jameer NELSON who used his quicks to burn Mr BIG SHOT time and time again. If you look at the KNICKS the one thing that sticks out moving into postseason is their lack of quality depth.

A few of their players had opportunities last night to make shots or even make a play and didn't.....they need some other pieces. The KNICKS picked up Jared JEFFRIES who played for them from 2006-2010 off of waivers from the ROCKETS. He can play the 3 and the 4 to help 'MELO and SHAWNE Williams.

The CHICAGO BULLS are on their all important 5-game road trip with the bulk of the stops coming up starting tonight in ATL vs the HAWKS, Friday Night at O-TOWN to face the MAGIC, and Sunday at the BOTTOM to face the HEAT. The BULLS are currently 2-0 on this trip having beat the BUCKS and the WIZARDS and are in 3rd place in the EAST at 41-17 and 7-3 in their last 10.

With the PLAYOFFS coming up this will be a real test to play the Current seeds in the EAST ATL #5, ORL #4, and the HEAT #2 to see where the BULLS are really at.

With a CORE of ROSE, BOOZER, NOAH, and DENG leading the way...the BULLS look like the 2nd best team in the EAST.

Fluke win by the Magic. They are way bigger than us but the game is the same for the magic regardless of who they play. If Jameer shows up the win, when he doesn't they get smashed.
