Neither pitcher lasted in this on and both went exactly 4 2/3 innings. Gigantes Starter Guillermo Moscoso and Rays Starter Roberto Hernandez didn't bring their A-Game on Sunday and it was up to the Pens to get the "W".

Behind a hot Wil Myers (1 for 2 w/ 2 RBI and a Run) and a huge effort from middle relief the Rays beat the Gigantes 4-3 to stay on pace with the Bo Sox in the AL East as both pick up the luggage and head to the Motel. The Rays Pen of Torres, McGee, Peralta, and Captain Save-A-Game Extraordinaire Fernando Rodney pitched 4 1/3 of one hit hardball and struck out five Giants. The Giants Pen only gave up one more run but that was the run that decided the outcome. The Rays scattered hits throughout the Line Up and the Giants Trio of Posey, Scutaro, and Pence went multi-hit with two hits a piece each. Pence was a hot commodity at the MLB Trade Deadline but the Giants obviously didn't like what was out there in return as he remains a Giant.

The Rays now head to the Desert for an Inter league Treat with the NL West 2nd Place D-Backs. The AL East leading Carmines just a game up on the Rays will go inter league down in H-Town playing the AL West Bottom Feeding 'Stros.
