The Atlanta Braves have took off in the last week to two weeks behind solid pitching and the hitting. They Bats started slow and all the way up to All-Star Break but the law of averages has kicked in and both have come to fruition as the Braves are 12.5 games up on the Nats in the NL East and not taking shots but that's AT(L)-itude.
The Braves finish a sweep of the Phightin' Phils with two teams going in entirely different directions. The Braves beat the 'Phils 4-1 as Braves LHP Alex Wood went a solid six and allowed one run on two hits as he struck out just two Phils Hitters. His counterpart Cliff Lee didn't fare as well as the Tomahawk Big Bats came to play in Sunday. Lee went five giving up four runs on eight hits but he did strike out eight Braves.
The Tomahawk Shop 404 now with more to do need to get that Starting Rotation ready going down the stretch for the "Fight for October". The Braves threw at Lee at the top of that Line Up Heyward, Justin Upton and Freeman are you serious. Two (Freeman and Heyward) under 25 and Upton at 25 years of age and that is scary as the Braves are built for a 2013 October Run and beyond.
Note: Braves lost Tim "Huddie" Hudson for the year two weeks ago on a Broken Ankle. The Pen is intact with Craig Kimbrel playing Captain Save-A-Game.
