It was the tale of two pitchers on Saturday afternoon in Citi Field in NYC as the Tigers Max Scherzer was going up against Mets Ace Matt Harvey as they both started the 2013 Mid-Summers Classic in Citi Field this past July. This time it was Scherzer doing the Mets an Harvey in as they blank the Amazins' 3-0 as the Tigers Line Up sprayed out some fifteen hits but no "Big Flies".

Scherzer went six and struck out eleven Mets Hitters and the nerve of him to hand out four free passes as the Mets get no runs off Scherzer or the Tigers Relievers for the fact of the matter. as he gets win #19 for 2013. Harvey didn't get chased early as the Tigers put two up in the 2nd frame and then just wore Harvey down. Matt went 6 2/3 allowing BP and thirteen hits but was only touched up for two runs as he struck out four and gave out no free passes.

The top of that Tigers Line Up Omar Infante (3 for 5) and Andy Dirks (3 for 3) as Miggy went 2 for 5 with Prince 1 for 4. The Mets only get three hits off Tigers Pitching as they slammed the door on the Amazins' on this day. The Tigers move their AL Central lead up to 6 1/2 games as they are just percentage points ahead of the Carmines n Rays as the AL's Best.
