Braves Starter Alex Wood and Mets Starter Jon Niese were on their game today in Citi Field the home of the Amazins'. Both left-handers allowed just one run as Wood went six allowing one run on six hits and Niese allowing one run on five hits as he struck out nine.

The Game went into the 10th inning knotted at 1-1 when Braves Hot Corner Chris Johnson took a 2-2 offering from Mets Reliever Greg Burke with two ducks on the pond and went Three-Run Shot to roll the credits on the Amazins' on this day 4-1.  Both Braves Players Adrelton Simmons and Freddie Freeman had three hits apiece for the Tomahawk Shop 404. Dan Murphy and Josh Satin led the Mets with two hits apiece.

The Braves get another unfortunate injury as Niese hits Braves RF Jason Heyward with a fastball in the jaw and it has been reported as a Broken Jaw. The pitch was purely unintentional I am thinking even though Niese was just scored on in that inning giving up his only run. The Tomahawk Shop 404 Captain Save-A-Game Craig Kimbrel gets save #40.

The Braves are 77-49 and as we go to press are 2 1/2 games up on the Buccos for the Senior Circuit's Best record.
