The New England Patriots will be in Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions as we get closer to Opening Kickoff 2013 for both. Both still have questions Marks in abundance and Week 3 of the preseason should also tell the tale of who stays and whose going on those Depth Charts.

The Carolina Panthers are tying to right the ship as everyone in the division is picked ahead of them. The "D" must improve as that Offense needs to establish the Run Game better.  The Ravens are faster on "D" but don't buy into that that Secondary is better than it ever was and that's just Flacco taking a shot on Ed Reed and who cares. Ed is going to Canton and Joe will get his NFL Pension when he is done.

PATS @ LIONS 7:30pm ET

QB Tom Brady will not face a better D-Line then this one in the AFC East as the Lions will bring it with Ndamakong Suh leading the charge. Look for that Pats O-Line to get much-needed work and if Tom Terrific gets hit more than once he will be pulled after the third commercial break. The Lions need to that Run Game going and then find out who they can go to outside of MEGAtron and that is always a problem for the Lions. That Lions Secondary is a huge concern as they have some pieces back there but can those pieces come together to be a solid unit? Lions Lead Man Jim Schwartz has to be on a Hot Seat kinda sorta in the Motor City.

PANTHERS @ RAVENS 8pm ET

The Panthers need that "D" led by backers Jon Beason and 2nd-year Stud Backer Luke Kuechly to be much-better in 2013 especially against the run. Cam Newton and that Offense has to find Wide outs B and C or pieces to step around Steve Smith to make that Passing game believable. The Ravens on the OLB/DE Positions look to be formidable again with Elvis Dumervil and T-Sizzle collecting Red Jerseys. The Secondary is still solid and how well will the new Safeties play in 2013 FA Pick up Michael Huff from the Raiders and Rook 2013 1st rounder Matt Elam play? The Ravens have also had issues on their 3rd down efficiency and that can't be corrected overnight. Who is going to replace TE Pitta and WR Boldin in that area remains to be seen ?
