The Detroit Tigers are ready to make a run as we near Labor Day Hardball as they beat the Kansas City Royals 6-3 behind Miggy's Ash and "Mad Max beyond Comerica" and his 18th win of 2013 as Mad Max gets closer to the 2013 AL Cy Young Award.

Scherzer went eight strong allowing two runs on five hits and striking out four Royals Hitters. The Tigers Hitters jumped all over Royals Starter Bruce Chen who went 5 1/3 innings allowing six runs on eight hits as he struck out one, walked one, and allowed a two-run Smash to Miggy in the bottom half of the first.  

Speaking of Miggy Cabrera as he tries to run down "Crush" Davis of the O's in Bombs Miggy went 2 for 3 with three ribbies and a run scored which is a typical day for the Cabrera. As we go to press the Tigers Stars Hitter is hitting .360 with 40 Bombs and 120 RBIs and 89 runs scored. The Average is 1st, the Bombs are 2nd, the Ribbies are 1st, and runs scored are 1st all on the Junior Circuit. Davis has him by four more Bombs but trails in average, runs scored, and ribbies.

The Tigers lead the AL Central by 6 1/2 over the Tribe whose playing the A's we go to press. The Tigers also lead the AL as the #1 seed overall by just percentage points over the Carmines of the Hub. Royals 8 1/2back of the Tigers in the Central but just 3 1/2 back in the AL Wild Card...watch those New Royals.
