The Red Legs didn't need top have any more meeting or Skip Dusty telling Folks they put their pants on and lace them up just like we do. Well Wainright didn't put his pants on or lace his Scooby Doos up as the Red Legs play "Jack in the Box" and wham!...a Ten-Piece on Get Away Day for the Red Legs.
Red Legs Starter Homer Bailey didn't need to throw a No No as he just had to keep throwing ground ball outs and being consistent hitting his spots. The Red Legs Offense put up a crooked six in the 1st and a crooked three in the 2nd as the Redbirds Faithful stayed until it was last call for Suds in the bottom of the 7th. To make matters worse the Red Legs lit up Redbirds Ace Adam Wainright and gave him his worse outing of 2013. Wainright's Line was nine runs on eight hits as he walked two struck out two and gave up a three-run shot to Red Legs OF Jay Bruce. All that damage was done in just two innings and that my friends means Wainright left the premises before the Redbirds got to the 7th Inning Stretch.
Red Legs Offense was out put was provided by Mr. Bruce who had five ribbies as he went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and that three-run souvenir. He has two caddy's in Red Legs Second baseman Brandon Phillips and Shortstop Zach Cozart who each had two hits. The Redbirds could only muster five hits in the contest as Red Legs Starter Bailey went 7 1/3 innings allowing no ducks to cross the dish on five hits as he walked two and struck out seven.
The Red Legs showed up for the Three-piece down 2 1/2 and leave down 3 1/2 as the Buccos get a 1/2 game back and they are just a 1/2 game back of the Redbirds as the NL Central will go down to the last week for all three parties involved....Red Legs, Buccos, and Redbirds. October is now in the NL Central!
