The Amazins' struck in the first inning pushing a duck across the dish to go up 1-0 off of a Mets LF Juan Lagares Solo Bomb. Matt Harvey was cruising and so was Dodgers Starter Hyun-Jin Ryu after he gave up one in the first inning. The games settled down as both pitchers did until the Dodgers strike in the 5th and 6th off of two-rbi hits from AJ Ellis and Nick Punto. The Dodgers did give up one more in the 9th but that rolled the credits.
Ryu went seven innings giving up one run on five hits while walking one and striking out five. Harvey went six strong and hit a bump in the road in the 5th and 6th. He allowed four runs on eight hits while walking two and striking out three. Dodgers Captain Save-A-Game Kenley Jansen gets Save #19. The Dodgers still maintain a 7.5 game lead on the 2nd place D-Backs and show no signs of slowing down. That is seven in a row and nine of their last ten and a season-high 19 games over the .500 mark.
For what it's worth the Amazins' are in 3rd place in the NL East but a few weeks away from catching the NL East leading Braves.
