The L.A. Dodgers as of right now will be starring in the hit movie "Unstoppable 2" featuring Denzel Washington playing Skip for the Dodgers as they roll through the Show and go 160-2 in 2014. Right now as "Unstoppable" is playing out the Dodgers are a runaway train and the only thing that could stop them right now outside of self is if those tracks all of a sudden run into the Pacific.
The Dodger came back Friday Night and scored a crooked four in the bottom half of the 9th to beat the Rays after Rays Ace David Price went seven and it looked like the Rays would cruise to the "W". Dodgers RHP Zach Greinke held down Saturday's "W" as he went to the mound with only one thing on his mind and that was to shutdown that Rays Offense. Greinke went 6 1/3 allowing six hits walking one and striking out seven and no Ducks crossed the dish.
The Dodgers Offense started early as first baseman A-Gon (Adrian Gonzalez) went Deep for a two-run bomb in the bottom of frame one to give the Dodgers and Greinke more than enough as they go onto win in a shutout 5-0. Shortstop Nick Punto (replacing SS Hanley Ramirez) has been handling his business as he went 2 for 3 with a run scored and two ribbies. Dodgers second baseman Skip Schumacher went 4 for 4 and Carl Crawford went 1 for 4 and a scored a run. That Dodger Offense is getting contributions from everyone and that is a Pitching Nightmare where they are no easy out in a line up. The only Ray that went multi-hit was Ben Zorbrist who went 2 for 3 and that was two of the Rays six hits.
The Dodgers move 6 1/2 games up on the D-Backs in the NL West. The Rays fall three games back of the Carmines in the AL East. ESPN's Sunday Night Hardball featured the Dodgers hosting the Rays as the Rays try to get on the scoreboard before they leave town.
