The Detroit Lions have talent but we have been hearing that for at least the last three seasons. They have the right coach in Jim Schwartz but they can't seem to turn that corner. Does that have more to do with what they do or what the Bears, Packers, and Vikes are doing?
Offensively they add RB Reggie Bush to try to take pressure off of Staff and MEGAtron in the Passing game. Nate Burleson and a healthy Ryan Broyles should help MEGAtron as he is the premier focus on Sunday when trying to stop the Lions. Can Staff throw less and be more effective in 2013? The Offense more than anything needs to cater around the strengths of the Lions Personnel and no run game ditto 2012...it's that simple.
Defensively they are absolutely loaded but I worry about that back end. Up front they add 2013 Top Pick in Defensive End Ziggy Ansah with Suh and Fairley in the middle and that is a promising front. They also add ex-Bears DE Isreal Idonije to fortify the front and a solid add. Backer Stephen Tulloch leads the Backers but it will be all about that Pass Rush and the Secondary. Free Safety Lou Delmas is the truth but after that it might be a train wreck. They get 2013 Free Agents Chris Houston (CB) from the Dirty Birds and Strong Safety Glover Quin from the Texans. Quin is solid but on Sunday sometimes that secondary is as good as your pass rush. Watch 2013 2nd round pick CB Darius Slay who in my estimation is a better CB than his teammate 2012 Jim Thorpe Award Winner and #ItsABucsLife Rookie CB Johnathan Banks...Slay is a bump and run instinctive CB as Banks is more of a Zone Cover Corner.

Offensively they need to get that Run Game going and if they can be in the middle of the Pack they have a chance at 10 wins.
Defensively that "D" is special upfront with those horses but they have to stop the run and pressure he Pocket. If they do both "Restore the Roar" will be intact. I still feel they are 4th in the North due to that unproven Run Game and that Secondary.
