The AL Wild Card is not where you want to be but if your Team has to go that route buckle up it's going to be a bump ride. The Rays are right there behind the AL East leading Carmines and they whole push is towards winning the AL East as is the Carmines.
The AL West is being held down by the Swingin' A's but lookout as the Rangers are coming and just a game back as the A's have hit a cold streak. The Tigers have put a little distance between them in the Tribe in the AL Central but the Indians are still within striking distance.
The AL Leaders as of August 7, 2013
1. Carmines 69-46 (AL East) add Peavy
2. Tigers 66-45 (AL Central) Mad Max n Verlander
3 A's 64-49 (AL West) Rotation issues
AL Wild Card Top 6
1. Rays 66-46 (AL East) Best AL Starting Staff
2. Rangers 64-50 (AL West) Darvish, Garza, Holland
3. O's 62-51 (AL East) Rotation Issues
4. Tribe 62-51 (AL Central) Masterson then who?
5. Royals 57-53 (AL Central) They are 4 Real
6. Bronx Bombers 57-55 (AL East) Their Problems have Problems
The Races are still wide-open as the O's try to get in the Race for the AL East with the Rays and Carmines. The Tribe is right there with the Tigers bit they have company in the surging Royals believe it or not ...the Royals. The Yankees are wild-card bound if anything as the AL East is to top-heavy for them to make a move. Rays are the Team to watch as they have the best Starting Rotation on the Junior Circuit and I would even venture to say they are the best in the AL as we go to press.
Top Two teams in the Wild Card play each other in a one-game playoff and the winner moves onto the divisional.
