The Chicago Cubs needed a solid outing from Jon Lester and that's exactly what they got. Lester goes 6 1/3 frames allowing just three hits and a run as he walked three and struck out seven. It was a Starlin Castro two RBI single in the 10th and a Chris Denorfia RBI single behind that that gives the Cubbies a 4-1 win in the 10th.
Twins starter Trevor May was also on his game going six allowing seven hits and a run. That Twins Pen was solid as it was Blaine Boyer who the North Siders got to in the 10th. Both Dexter Fowler and Anthony Rizzo collected two hits for the North Siders with Eddie Rosario, Kurt Suzuki, and Eduardo Escobar each getting two base knocks for the Twinkies.
Cubbies move to 36-30 while the Twinkies fall to 37-31 as the Rubber Game will be on Sunday featuring Cubs Jake Arrieta vs Twins Kyle Gibson...
