As things could not get any worse for the 2K15 Detroit Tigers the Oakland Athletics the the "Catfish" of the AL West goes into Comerica Park and sweeps a three-piece from the Tigers. The Swingin' Elephants outscore the Tigers 18-9 and A's starter Jesse Hahn did a number on them on "Get Away Day"!

Hahn goes seven scattering five hits and allowing one run as he walked one and struck out five. The A's crooked three they hung up on Tigers starter Shane Greene in the 3rd was plenty of run support for Hahn as the Tigers also added a run in the 4th.  That 2nd frame was highlighted by a two-run triple by Josh Phegley.

Billy Butler would then single home another run in the 5th and a throwing error on the play led to one more run as the A's led 6-0 after five. Detroit would get their only run off of Hahn in the 6th on a Miggy Cabrera RBI single who else.

Then with the Score 7-1 heading into the bottom half of the 9th the Tigers get an RBI single from Ian Kinsler and a three-run bomb from Tyler Collins all off of A's set-up man Dan Otero. A's Captain Save-A-Game Tyler Clippard would rescue "Black Hole Hardball" in the 9th for his 9th save.

A's move to 23-33 and is breathing a little bit better. The Tigers fall to 28-27 as they are now behind both the Royals and Twinkies in the AL Cenral and on dangerous ground as no Justin Verlander might have caught up to them!
