The Redbirds needed their starter in game 2 to get back at the Brew Crew for Milwaukee shutting down the Cards last night 1-0. That man was Lance Lynn and he was dealing tonight versus the "Piwowarzy" as he goes 7 2/3 frames throwing a five-hitter walking one and striking out five. Lynn moves to 4-4 in 2015...
The Brew Crew's starter Tyler Cravy (0-1) was simply gravy himself as the only run he allowed came in the 2nd on a Mark Reynolds single scoring Randal Grichuk. He gets the hard-luck loss but not after going seven strong allowing just four hits as he struck out six and walked two.
Grichuk led that Redbirds Attack going 2 for 3 and scoring the games only run. Jonathan Lucroy led the "Piwowarzy" Attack going 2 for 4. The Redbirds move to a robust 34-18 while the Brew Crew heading firmly in the opposite direction falls to 18-35...
