The St. Louis Cardinals take the first two games of a home and home series with the visiting Minnesota Twins as they win 3-2 at new Busch. The Redbirds gets another strong effort from future Ace Michael Wacha (9-2) as he picks up the "W" going six strong.
Wacha left in the 7th after the Cards 3-1 lead turned into a 3-2 lead on a Kurt Suzuki two-bagger scoring Eduardo Nunez for the Twinkies. This was after Minnesota scored on a Trevor Plouffe RBI double in the first making it 1-0 Twinkies!
The Redbirds came right back in the 2nd scoring a run on a Randal Grichuk sac-fly tying the game at 1-1. Mar Reynolds then singles home two in the 3rd as the Redbirds had figured out Twinkies starter Kyle Gibson. Gibson would get the loss falling to 4-5 as he goes six as well giving up three runs.
Redbirds Kevin Siegrist gets his 3rd save of 2015 as the Cards move to a robust 43-21 while the Twins fall to 34-30. That was the good news at the park as through numerous media outlets the Redbirds are under investigation for all sorts of indiscretions from stealing the Houston Astros Database and other valuable Team Information etc.. Stay tuned as the Feds are involved...not good!
