What a series as the Dodgers win game one but game two was all of that as former Dodger and Japanese Product Hiroki Kuroda went pitch for pitch with the Dodgers Clayton Kershaw and they both left with zeros behind them.
The Yanks and Dodgers split this two-piece as the Yanks win game two 3-0 behind a masterful showing from Kuroda and nice bullpen work leading up to Mo Rivera getting save 34. Kuroda went seven giving up five hits and nor runs while striking out eight. Kershaw went eight innings striking out five and allowing five hits.
The Yanks scored in the top half of the ninth putting up three runs as the Dodgers Pen couldn't hold them. If the Dodgers have a glaring weakness its in that Pen. Andre Ethier and Mark Ellis of the Dodgers were the only two players in the game to get more than one hit as they get four of the twelve hits in the game. The Yanks with the "W" still have work to do eight back in the AL East. The Dodgers lead the D-Backs by just 2 1/2 in the NL West as the D-Backs beat the Rays in Tampa behind LHP Wade Miley.
