The Bluedude could have and should have went CSI Bluedude Sportstalk but will take it easy on a team who just beat the Redbirds four out of five and have "Put on for their City". Losing some seven games in a row the St. Louis Cardinals have to get at least the last game which was game five as its been a house of horrors for the Redbirds in this series.
Behind Cards LHP Joe Kelly's six plus innings of shout-out three hit hardball and issuing three free passes while striking out three Pirate Hitters. The Redbirds get on that Charter with a since of we might have dodged a huge Primanti Brothers Samich (and no its not a Sandwich) on the way out. And yes the best Samich that side of Three Rivers look it up or when in the 'Burgh stop by.
The Cards lit up Buccos RHP Chuck Morton as he goes six innings allowing five runs on ten hits a free pass and striking out five Redbird Hitters. What was worse was the Redbirds jumping all over the Help as Pirates reliever Jeanmar Gomez went 1/3 of an inning allowing seven runs on four hits and the nerve of him to walk two Redbirds. Ys the Redbirds crooked eight spot in the 7th frame was all that frustration wrapped up in that one inning from the previous four losses.
Redbirds CF John Jay went 2 for 4 with three ribbies and two runs scored as he led the charge for the Cards. Buccos with all that work lose one game and the Redbirds are only 1 1/2 games out of first. The Pirates win they Cards leave some 3 1/2 games out...Imagine that!
