The Chicago Sky beat the Connecticut Sun in the 2013 WNBA All-Star Arena 77-61 and the Sky finally get off the losing streak. Behind the sharp-shooting of 2G Epiphany Prince (23 pts 3/5 3pt FG) and Rook Star Elena Delle Donne who added 19 points including 4 for 5 from the Arc the Sky cruised.
The Sun could do nothing right as they were out shot at the Arc some by 18 points and out rebounded by ten. The Sky used a 21-12 second frame advantage to get out ahead of the Sun and put the game away up 42-27 at the break. The Sky also got 14 points and ten boards from Sylvia Fowles and a nice floor game from PG Courtney Vandesloot. Sun All-Star and former UConn Lady Huskie Star Tina Charles went 2 for 18 and that was not good for the Sun.
The Sky move to 14-7 on the 2013 season and that is good for 2nd in the East. They will host the WNBA's #1 outfit in the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday and their Three All-Stars in Maya Moore, Seimone Augustus, and Lindsay Whalen.
