The game was "Nip and Tuck" and that is only fitting in L.A. as the Sky took their show out to Hollywood only to come up a loser 80-76. The Sky and Sparks were all knotted up 34-34 at the break as both teams knew it was going to come down to a play here and there to win the ball game.

The Sky then led 59-57 after three frames and to the Sparks credit they made a play here and a play there to get the Victory. This could be a prelude to what's to come in the WNBA Finals as these are the two of the top four favorites.

Sky Center Sylvia Fowles had a game-high 22 points and nine rebounds as Rook Sky Star Delle Donne has hit the proverbial Rookie Wall only getting nine points and three boards. Sky PG Courtney Vanderlsoot had eleven points with Swin Cash, Epiphany Prince, and Tamera Young all netting 10 points apiece.

The Sparks were led by 2013 WNBA All-Star Game M.V.P. Candace Parker as she goes for 18 points, seven boards, and four helpers. The Sparks other All-Star G Kristi Toliver added 15 points while Alana Beard and Jantel Lavender each had 10 points.

The Sky now leads the East by two games and four games in the Win Column in the East. The Sparks are closing in on the Minnesota Lynx and are one game back and have won five games in a row.

Chicago Sky's next game is in Seattle for a Thursday Night Tilt with the Seattle Storm on August 15th.
