The Pittsburgh Pirates can't wait to get out of the Rockies but before they do they need to put one on the scoreboard. After putting two up in the top of the 6th frame and taking the lead 3-1 the Pirates and Starter A.J. Burnett get hit up for a crooked five in the bottom half of the 6th frame to eventually lose the game 6-4.

The Buccos Burnett's Line was indicative of how good he pitched going into the sixth as he went 5 2/3 innings allowing six runs on eight hits walking three and striking out eight. The Rockies Starter Juan Nicasio went 5 2/3 innings allowing six hits on three runs as he walked two an struck out four. The Pirates Offense was led by Back Stop Russell Martin who went 3 for 4 with an RBI and a run. The Rockies CF Desmond Fowler led the Rocks going two for four with a run and two ribbies.

The Pirates lead the NL Central still by two full games as the Redbirds have lost four in a row.  The Rockies are way out of the NL Wild Card and NL West Race and playing on Rockies Pride as we go to press as Job Status doesn't stop as the Direct Deposits do not either.
