Tribe RHP Corey Kluber was cruising against the AL Central leading Detroit Tigers as he went 7 1/3 innings of shutout hardball as he allowed six hits and struck out six Tigers after issuing only one free pass. The Tigers Starter Anibal Sanchez gave up two runs on on four hits as he sent eleven Indians back to the hitting cage for a tune-up. The Tribe were on their way to a 2-0 shutout then it happened...

Tigers Catcher Alex Avila with two runners on goes three-run blast with the score 2-0 Tribe to send the Indians Faithful home with a "What just happened" Look on their faces. Bad enough instead of the Tigers lead being down to two games it moves back to four games in one swing and now we will see what the 2013 Cleveland Indians are made of. Carlos Santana and Old Man Jason Giambi knocked in the two Tribe runs.

The good news for the Tribe is that its a four game set. The bad news is that they will face in this order starting on Tuesday August 6...Verlander, Fister, and "Mad Max Beyond Comerica" Scherzer. Now you see why this game was so important. The Tribe has their Ace going on Tuesday in Masterson but after that it might be tough sledding.
