Call it what you want as the Chicago Bulls will take this road victory and any road victory as this game was really sloppy late and into extras. It was Bulls SG and former UCLA Bruin and Minnesota Timberwolves first rounder Zach "Trampoline" LaVine from that hotbed of H.S. Hoops Seattle Washington going for a game-high 41 points to seal this one tonight for the Bulls.
The win though didn't come without the seat belt sign on bright red as both teams were evenly matched up. The Bulls without Lauri Markkanen and Bobby Portis as the Knicks were without both Tim Hardaway Jr. and Pristaps Porzingis as both lead man went deep on their rosters.
Chicago had a chance to win it in regulation as Lavine missed a "J" right under the 30 second mark. The Knicks then went to "Rook" Allonzo Treir also from the "206" by way of the U of A Wildcats from Tucson, Arizona as he missed a pull up just right of the lane. It just came down to both teams in extras playing sloppy ball and that happens when the rotations are settled and key players are out.
LaVine ended the game on a made free throw as he was fouled with .3 left on the clock by Knicks Tape PG Emmanuel Mudiay who should have left Zach alone as the time would have ran out before he got it off. Chicago escapes with a 116-115 "W" as Lavine shot 13 for 25 with four made money balls. Bulls super-sub Antonio Blakeney again tallied double figures with 17 and Jabari Parker adding 15 points.
Knicks Tape was led by a strong bench performance as Enes Kanter had a team-high 23 points off the bench while hauling in two dozen Spalding Oranges. Allonzo Trier led the starters with 21 points as that Knicks Bench outscored the Bulls Bench Mob 66-35. With those numbers the Bulls should have taken an "L" but they escape moving to 3-8 as the Knicks fall to 3-8.
