The best of the best and talking NFL Wide Receiver Records there is no one player like the San Francisco 49ers WR Jerry Rice that covers the record book like #80 from Candlestick Park. We he wasn't the fastest to 10,000 as it took Rice some 121 games to do so. There are currently five wide outs that crossed that 10,000 yard mark faster than Jerry and the #1 wide out is always among the top 3 in total yard receiving every since he stepped into the NFL.
The List as we go "Monsters Inside the Route Tree" unveiling the Top 6 fastest WRs to 10,000 yards:
Rank Player Team Games to 10,000
1. Julio Jones #InBrotherhood 104
2. "MEGAtron" #OnePride 115
3. A.B. #HereWeGo 116
3. "Big Game" Holt #STLRams 116
5. Lance "Bambi" Alworth #SDChargers 120
6. Jerry Rice #GoNiners 121
360 Degrees
Yes in just 104 games Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones ( A 5-star H.S. recruit that played RB, WR, LB, Safety, KR, and PR in H.S. and recruited to 'Bama by Nick Saban to play WR and boy was Coach Saban dead on) is the fastest to 10,000 yards and he holds 8 Falcons WR Records and there will be more records Julio will eclipse as he is far from done. The #1 record is 1,871 yards receiving in 2015 as he was just 129 yards away from 2K...Jones almost a full season ahead of "MEGAtron" as Julio is eleven games ahead...
"Megatron" WR Calvin Johnson physical specimen at WR as he was Julio before Julio and ironically enough from just outside Atlanta, GA and went to Georgia Tech. He and QB Matthew Stafford tore up that Lions record book but could never get it going into "winning time"...you almost with #81 had a shot on a playoff for a few seasons the damage this guy would have done...
Antonio Brown as he is currently mowing down all Steelers WR records and he is also far from over. The only thing that might change for A.B. will be QB Big Ben Roethlisberger has a few seasons left and who will be A.B. next QB?
"Big Game" Torry Holt was one of the key cogs at WR for the "Greatest Show on Turf" and he did his work under the radar as his main QB was Kurt Warner...for the N.C. State Wolfpack he tore up the ACC...
Lance "Bambi" Alworth did most of his damage wearing a San Diego Chargers Uni and did it in the 60s redefining the WR position in the NFL...
Jerry Rice the G.O.A.T. enough said as there will never be another Rice as he has the Nike Building name after him at Nike WHQ in Beaverton, Oregon...that good!
