The Chicago Bears knew on a short week the offenses couldn't make too many adjustments and the defenses could mix up a few things that were on tape from Sunday's games. Well the Detroit Lions you would think had a slight advantage due to Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky being out and Bears JV QB Chase Daniel. Well Chase is no slouch and ask both Andy Reid and Sean Payton as Daniels plays sound turnover free football and the Bears with that very formidable defense gets a huge "W" in 3-1-3 the "D" and down goes #OnePride!
Bears lead man Matt Nagy with a beautiful game plan and adjusting on the fly was "Big" in the Bears 23-16 victory over Motor City Pro Football as they used the short passing game to overcome some bumps in the road at Ford Field.
Bears JV QB Chase Daniels was fabulous for the most part as he was 27 for 37 with 230 yards and two TDs. All that experience coming from Reid and Payton with that West Coast Offense background had to help Daniels as RB Tarik Cohen (7 rec 45 yds TD) made enough plays as the Wilson pigskin was spread around to nine different targets.
Detroit played well enough to win as it came down to mistakes and one being a Pick 6 by Lions QB Matt Stafford for a 41-yard TD to Bears Safety Eddie Jackson (Alabama All-SEC CB/S 4th Rd Pick #112 NFL Draft 2k17) ) and that was the nail in the coffin. That Bears "D" now leads the "Shield" with a +13 takeaway margin and that speaks for itself and bodes well for games down the stretch as a top 5 defense in the NFL always travels well.
The Bears now move on at 8-3 while then Lions fall to 4-7...
