After the Carolina Panthers scored first on the first drive of the night I was thinking the Pittsburgh Steelers might be in trouble. After all that "Smoke" Heinz Field and Steelers Nation had the Carolina Panthers right where we wanted them.

The nest seven out of nine drives its was Steelers QB Big Ben Roethlisberger and that Offense engineering drives for a commanding  38-14 lead after the break as the Steelers win going away 52-21. It a a total domination of defense and offense as the Panthers after the initial score could not get anything going.

The fireworks started at least for the Black and Yellow on the first play on offense after the Panthers scored on thier first drive with Big Ben hooking up with WR Ju Ju Smith-Schuster for a 75-yd TD pass tying the game at 7-7. That led to the ensuing Panthers possession on QB Cam Newton throwing a pick six to Steelers ILB Vince Williams making it 14-7 and Pittsburgh never looked back.

After the Steelers led 21-7 after the first frame and 31-14 at the break it was a 12 play 75-yard drive for six that took some 8 minutes plus off the clock that spelled gloom and doom for the Panthers.  Carolina had no answer as the Steelers walk away with a 52-21 "W" moving to 6-2-1. The Panthers falling to 6-3 still have the NFC South leading New Orleans Saints twice  and that is work to do.

Steelers QB Big Ben Roethlisberger went 22 for 25 for 328 yards and 5 TDs. Pittsburgh RB James Connor ran for 65 yards on 13 carries with WR Antonio Brown grabbing six Wilson pigskins for 96 yards.

Carolina's All-Purpose RB Christian McCaffery was a monster as he ran for 77 yard on 14 carries and a TD as he also caught 5 Wilson pigskins for 81 yards and another score. Panthers QB Cam Newton was 23 for 29 and 193 yards 2 TDs and an INT but after frame one was playing from behind the rest of the night. That pick six was a nail in the coffin for Cam and company moving forward on this night.

Panthers fall to 6-3 while the Steelers look ahead to the Jacksonville Jaguars in J'Ville in NFL Week 11 next week.
