The Chicago Bulls coming off an "L" last night at the Madhouse to #HeatCultrue dba Miami Heat goes 2nd leg of that back to back swing called home/motel at the Target Center in downtown Minneapolis! Chicago played through three then the wheels come off in the 4th as they get hurt on the glass and Extras off the bench trying to get a lead role.
Chicago led 50-49 at the break and trailed 84-79 after three. Yes T'Wolves All-Star "Big" Karl Anthony-Towns had 22 points and sixteen boards after three (game-high 35 pts 22 rebs 6 asst) but the Bulls were right there with the game for the taking.
It was Zach LaVine's team-high 28 points for the Bulls that kept them in along with 27 points and seven boards from one Jabari Parker who looks like he is finally getting acclimated to his new surroundings. It came down to two things in this game which was glass work (rebounding) and bench play and the Bulls get eaten up by both.
Minnesota hauls in 58 total rebounds to the Bulls 40 and that Bulls Bench Mob was outplayed by the tune of 48 to 15. Joining the Big K.A.T. for Minnie was starting PG Jeff Teague with 18 as former Bulls All-Star and NBA M.V.P. Derrick "Pooh" Rise added 22 points off the bench with newly-acquired Dario Saric dropping 19 points and grabbing fourteen boards. "Wigs" dba Andrew Wiggins 0-12 from the field 0 points one assist and one boards in 37 minutes of play...unacceptable "Wigs"!
Bulls Justin Holiday continues his solid play as he went double double with 14 points an eleven boards. Chicago falls to 5-15 while the T'Wolves move to 9-11 as both have some serious work to do to get back into their respective conference races...
