#SaluteToService
A game had picked 27-20 Cowboys then had a change of heart last night and picked it 27-20 Eagles because of the Cowboys play of late with no real identity on offense. That all changed as Dallas offensive coordinator Scott Linehan went back to where it all stared when he first got Ohio State RB Star Ezekial Elliott.
Linehan went #FeedZeke (19 car 151 yds TD/6 rec 36 yds TD) on Offense sprinkled with Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (26/36 270 yds TD) with a series of plays sprinting out of the pocket and throwing the Wilson pigskin. That Read-Pass-Option is always in the mix as that is just 2k18 "A QB Driven League" Football but you add newly-acquired WR Amari Cooper (6 rec 75 yds) the 'Boys might have found themselves for the stretch run.
The turning point in the game I thought was the Prescott 1-yard TD run late in the 2nd frame putting Dallas up 13-3 at the break. The Eagles came out flying in the 3rd frame but Dallas was already in their comfort zone. Eagles QB Carson Wentz (32/44 360 yds 2 TD INT) was fabulous. His #1 target TE Zach Ertz was big as he caught 14 balls for 145 yards and 2 TDs.
Philly has two things that will cost them down the stretch late and its an absent ground game. Then a Secondary that is banged up really good. That Eagles ground attack gained 71 yards on sixteen carries as Philly got it going in the 3rd and 4th frame tying the game up at 20-20 on a Ertz TD catch from Wentz.
Dallas answered with a 8 play 75 yard drive that ended with a Zeke Elliott TD run making it 27-20 Cowboys. Then it was up to that Cowboys "D" that played extremely well but they have not been the issue all season long like the offense side of the ball. Dallas moves into a tie with Philly at 4-5 but more importantly the 'Boys are 2-1 in the NFC East while the Eagles fall to 1-1.
