The Houston Astros have had too much to celebrate about in 2013 but at Camden Tonight it was "All you could eat 'STROS" as they take the "S" off Orioles and O's to the tune of 11-0. O's RHP Miguel Gonzalez was lit up through 3 2/3 innings allowing nine runs on four hits including 'Stros back stop Jason Castro's "Touch'em All" in the 4th off of Rodriguez. 'Stros LHP Brett Oberholtzer in his first start in 2013 went seven innings allowing no runs on three hits while striking out six. The O's fall 5 1/2 back of the AL East leading Bo Sox. The 'Stros are just twenty-six games back in the AL West looking to add more Hot Prospects to the Big-league team as we head towards September.
The St. Louis Cardinals have to be telling themselves what in Baseball Town USA is going on here. Poor Redbirds OF Matt Holliday has had a few miscues that have found the TV and You Tube to last him for the rest of 2013. The Buccos beat the Redbirds on a Russell Martin rbi-single in the bottom of the 8th frame to send the Redbirds 2 1/2 back in the NL Central. The Battle between Adam Wainright and Jeff Locke was null in void as Locke lasted four innings and Wainright went seven and they both left the game with no-decisions. Holliday did lead the charge for the Cards going 3 for 5 with two ribbies. The Redbirds have lost seven in a row and the Pirates have won four in a row as game five of the series is Thursday evening as the Buccos go for a unheard of five-game sweep.
