The Texas Rangers put nine of their last ten in the "W" Column and take over 1st place in the AL West. They finish the sweep of the In-State and New AL West Rival the 'Stros of Clutch City and anything but as they beat Houston 2-1.
Rangers Ace and Japanese RHP Yu Darvish officially is not from Planet Earth and he has figured everything under the Bright One (SUN) in year two and is mowing the Junior Circuit Down by the Handfuls. Darvish went eight innings giving up one run on one hit as he walked one and strikes out a Crooked Fifteen 'Stros Hitters. The Carmines, Rays, O's, Tigers, and Athletics say they ant to play in October they better hope they do not have to see Mr. Darvish twice in a series. The only run he gave up was off the Maple of 'Stros Back Stop Carlos Corporan. The Rangers are one game up on the Athletics in the AL West.
Speaking of Athletics they are trying to get that Mid-June through July 2013 Mojo back as they have ben playing less then stellar hardball and now find themselves behind the Rangers after it looked like the A's were going to run away with it. They beat the Blue Birds but it wasn't after they spent eight innings wondering we have to break this thing open. They did in the 9th putting a crooked four up. The Blue Birds didn't get their one run off A's Starter Straily until one out in the eighth.
Straily was magnificent as he went 7 1/3 innings giving up that one run on six hits walking three an striking out five. The 'Jays Starter Happ didn't disappointment in a disappointing 2013 for the 'Jays as he went seven allowing one run on three hits walking two and striking out six. He did give up a fist frame Bomb to the A's CF Chris Young and that was it. The A's ar a game back with work to do and it will start on the Bump as they have to match those Rangers Arms on the Front line of that Rotation in Darvish, Holland, and Garza with Captain Save-A-Game in Vet and "Roll the Credits" Expert and former Twinkie Joe Nathan.
