The Kansas City Royals took the first two of four in the Bronx only to come back tom Planet Bronx Zoo to lose the next two including the "Get Away" Game as they had Yanks LHP Pettitte on the ropes early. The Royals jumped out with three in the 1st and one in the 2nd only to score no more as the Yankees storm back in the 5th scoring a crooked four to break open the tie at 3-3. Yanks SS Derek Jeter went 1 for 4 with a run scored and he knocked in a run. Pettitte moves to 7-6 on the season as the Royals are in a lot better shape then they have been in quite sometime heading into the All-Star Break.
Rays LHP Matt Moore gets win #13 as he ties Tigers RHP Max Scherzer for the AL lead in that category. The Rays scored one in the 3rd and two in the sixth to help aid Moore in his win. The rays Lefty went 7 1/3 innings allowing three runs on three hits and striking out ten. Twinkies Losing pitcher Mike Pelphrey went six innings giving up eight hits and three runs as he gave up Solo Shots to Rays Evan Longoria and Luke Scott. The Rays are on fire and get their 8th straight "W" and have the Carmines on Radar Lock trailing them in the AL East by just 3 1/2.
The Chicago White Sox are starting to see what they have on the farm as they look to be Players in the upcoming MLB Trade Deadline at the end of this month. After today's win versus the Tigers 6-3 they will be salers and not buyers. Behind a "Granny" off the bast of Sox "Stud on the Farm" Back Stop Josh Phegley the Pale Hose and All-Star LHP Chris Sale outlast the Tigers. Sale went 6 2/3 allowing ten hits and three runs while striking out eight Tigers. He did give up Bombs to Two Tigers including a Solo Job to Miggy Cabrera his 30th. Tigers Anibal Sanchez takes the loss as he drops to 7-6. The Tigers now lead the Tribe by just 2 1/2 games in the Central...Ouch!
